Didn't realize finding hockey pucks was a regional thing... LOL but ya. Drill a hole dead center of two hockey pucks. Weld the bolt to the motor mounts brackets so it doesn't spin while tightening the other end....

What we could use are some deals on safety equipment. If anyone has any connections for helmets, HANS devices, etc, please PM me.

I am confused by the actuator on the compressor outlet. it doesn't appear to have a second large orifice, just the vac line. plus it's not yellow cad which just adds to the confusion.

its a bypass valve, look at the cast on the housing, it bypasses back into the intake in front of the wheel.

Yea, we're tripping over three of them. Yellow Exige is getting a supercharged Honda K20. The blue Elise is an engineless crash-damaged car that's for sale as is (kinda tempting project, though I don't know the price). There's also a silver 1st-gen Exige with a K20 that we had to push out of the way so we could work on our "racecar". The silver one's for sale for like $47,000, in case you have that burning a hole in your pocket and you'd rather have one Exige than 94 Lemons racecars...

Some more little details from todays thrash:

Coolant re-route is finished for the front-mount radiator:

With any luck, we'll only use this radiator when we have the car in two-seat, two-door configuration for our first track day test. We gotta teach one of our drivers how to handle rear-drive, so we need to be within bitch-slap range while he's driving.

When we switch to side-mount radiator, in the one-seat, one-door configuration, we'll use this coolant pipe instead:

Pipes are made from 1" conduit that's swedged to 1.25" at the ends to mate up with the 1.25" hose. We made a swedging tool that can just be rammed into the conduit with a hydraulic press.

We've only had to buy something like two radiator hoses so far. Everything else has been from the box full of leftover hose scraps.

I would recommend while you are doing handy things with a welder that you reinforce the control arms. With some rubbing and rough loving they are likely to be what bends and doesn't hold up in the suspension. This looks absolutely sick.

This may be a stupid question with an obvious answer....but what's the purpose of the radiator in the pass. seat area?

The 24 Hours of Lemons can be a somewhat rough-n-tumble endurance race. You remember the final scene in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome?

I'm guessing they're putting it there to keep it out of harm's way, as a busted radiator due to a front-end collision would pretty much end your day.
