What's the top speed of your turbo Miata? - Miata Turbo Forum

Has anyone reached a new top speed in the Miata post-turbo? I want to turbocharge mine but I'd like to be able to get a lot closer to that 140 on the speedo.

So if you know your top speed, please post it. I'm trying to see how fast a Miata could go with 200-250 hp.

140 is easy in the standing half mile with level rd, and 200whp. And hardtop installed with soft top 135 and top down 130. Drag is a bitch. Used to hit 110-115 before on my 1.6

142 i get 147 with a 4.1 and 225-50r15's ? with out fudge factor it is 150.

im gonna be able to pull 150mph

First time I ever was dumb enough to try a top speed run, I hit 122 IIRC, with the headlights up and top down, put the barn doors down and got an extra 2-3mph.

The next and last time I was dumb enough to try, I made it to 132MPH (132 indicated, 128 GPS), top down. This was stock. Took a while to get there..

I hit 135mph, but who knows if that was the actual speed. It was close to 6-7k in 5th.

It seems that my speedo is off 4-5MPH at higher speeds, according to my GPS.. I assume you'rs would be similar.

I got 140.5 with my 4.10, and redline of 7200...

I doubt I could do better than 120 really, Ive been 150 on my motorcycle. its not that different than 140... haha

Was wondering the same thing myself, actually, so I've had it at an indicated 135 mph twice this week. Really wanted to bury the needle, but ran out of room the first time, and came into traffic the second. The car could definitely go faster than where the speedo ends at 140. Don't know how indicated compares to actual though, but assume that indicated speed is greater than actual.

I'm really proud of the old girl. She spent quite a lot of time at 10+ psi in 5th gear on multiple occasions, without issue

Have been faster in other vehicles (94 rx7, e class). Definately been faster on my gsxr.

yeah...140 ish top speed is kinda funny...but I wouldn't want to do it in a miata...

I hit 160mph the other night with my friend of mine in his Charged SS. He was laying a spanking on a stretched/lowered Kawasaki 636
