A BBK won't help you, you need race brakes for what your doing. You really need abs to run race brakes on the street as their cold modulation is a bit off, try the cobalt xr2/3 line. Honestly you might give brake ducting a try first. Part of the reason you were having trouble with xp8's and rain tires is the brake and tire need to match as far as aggresion goes. I'm very familiar with frying brakes in the hills, I lived in Arkansas for 10 years.

You could try the spec miata set up from Cobalt, I can get those and I'm in the bay area meaning no shipping

I'd do the Trackspeed radiator personally. A much better unit.

Thanks for the recommendation, what would you do for shrouding and air management?

Thanks again!

Not worry about it at all. This thing will do 180* temps (170* T-Stat) in a draft in a Spec Miata (basically no air)

Fantastic! This is the kind of advice I really need. I want to make the car completely reliable and basically indestructible so that I can drive the **** out of it for hours on end without concern. Cooling is obviously high on my list. Since I am about due to replace my radiator hoses I am going to jsut get the reroute kit and get that over with.

Thanks for the advice!
