Default 1994 1.8 Smoking and ticking

This isn't a turbo'd 1.8 but here is a video of what's going on.



car probably has like 90,000 kms.

car's only modifications is an ARC power chamber and ARC Box

Cold Compression was 175-180

Valves? HLA? Oil isnt that old as well.

i cant tell by the vid, because my computer at work wont play it... but what kind of smoke is it? is it black? white? blueish? and, what does it smell like???

Looks like steam.

Check your oil, water and plugs. Compression test.

oops just did compression 175-180 across the board

oil is where it should be, and coolant appears to be good.

exhaust kind of smells weird, but not the sweet weird like coolanty it has been sitting for a couple months as well.

might just be a shitload of moisture in there, especially after sitting for a few months... your compression is badass, and it doesnt smell like brown sugar, or straight gas, i would bet on the excessive amount of moisture somewhere in the exhaust. can smell kindof odd, and unfamilliar if its old moisture. i would let it run for a while, and get it all out, and see what it looks like

Clicking sounds like HLAs and should go away. Take it for a drive and wring it out.
