Default help.. egr tube leaks.

does any one have any idea or can help me out on this problem that i am having? im having leaks at the egr tube fitting thats going into the turbo manifold. i have 94 na with a garrett turbo set and ---- i bought a new egr tube from the dealer ship and im still having leaks from where u tightening up the fitting bolt onto the turbo manifold. the leak is coming from the lil gap on the fitting where its made to slides back and forward on the egr tube pipe.. to the turbo manifold.. its not leaking from the fitting or the threads. i hope u understand what i am trying to say.. lol.

Would a copper washer help? It sounds like the fitting is not tight enough for whatever reason.

take a picture of it. garrett doesn't make manifolds. or turbo kits for our cars.

we can't help you unless you actually provide useful info.

I guess there are different type of egr tube connections. On the non US type the threads on the nut can bind and its not possible to tighten fully. It is difficult to dress the threads in position so a copper washer can work.
