One of my many FE3 bookmarks. I've read so much of this stuff that I can quote almost all factory spec measurements and clearances from memory.... I wanna cry every time I think about how long its gonna be until I can run my car with it. Man will it be fun though.

M2 - Are you getting the front bellhousing from fredio? If its more near $300 and not the $500 you thought before then I might have to bug him some The fewer headaches would be worth the extra money versus a aluminum adapter plate.

The plan is to still get the housing, though it hasn't shipped yet. I've actually been getting him some parts here that he can't get in NZ. It looks like I'll still need to mill 10mm off the front of the housing. Turns out the rx7 TII input shaft is shorter than the input shaft on the ute version of the R trans. Dammit. I'm going with the housing because making the plate is time I don't have vs. the cost. And IMO it's a more "perfect" solution.

I have pdfs of the motor mount adapter plates that are to scale. Use those and you'll just need to bolt up Miata mounts to them and elongate the subframe holes a bit.
