Default DIY Catch-Can #2 this Sunday

I always thought that having the intake line right next to the breather line on the top just invited oil to make the extra 1cm of flight and head into the intake instead of dropping to the bottom of the can.

PCV Valve side stays as stock.

The intake will plug into the top, and the breather into the side.

You know I'm considering running hoses from the valve cover to the bottom of the car and just letting it dump any oil instead of catch it. Well, right now I am in a sense. Any reason not to? I did what you just did a year ago but didn't make provisions for draining it.

I just dumped it under the car without a catch can and capped off the intake.

Jesus Sam, I can only imagine what would happen if I had one of those tucked into my engine bay and got searched coming on post! Looks like some one set up us the bomb.

Default Install, more pics!

Zip-tied to the fan-bracket... hopefully doesn't get too hot up there. I'll report back tomorrow if I notice a difference in performance.

I don't know how much oil you are collecting but I may have a better place for you to locate your can:

PVC-> hose->$3 Fram fuel filter->breather FTW. Toss it when you change your oil and replace it. No mess.

But then I would not have R2D2's African cousin ziptied to my fan support... and it wouldn't be as baller.
