unbolot your rear knuckles (its only two bolts) have sombody hold the knuckle while you go under the car and with a screwdriver or pry bar and pop it out! DONE!

You need a big pry bar and you get the tip under the lip of the shaft and pull/push and they should "pop". I had to use a punch laid against the side of the diff housing and a hammer and they came out. Also remove the upper control arm bolt and axle nut first so you can slid the axle out of the hub.

Pry bar is the way to go...the longer the better obviously more leverage and like sean said should pop out no problem after the control arms are loose

Not making multiple threads in different sections helps you not look like a tool.....

Cut some wedges from a chunk of hardwood and drive one in on each side for the axle.

and for what it's worth, use a REAL PRY BAR.

or suffer the rest of your life with several shitty, broken, large screwdrivers.

When you put them back in just bounce them or compress the axle all the way and smack it with a dead blow or brass hammer so you don't damage the ends. Check to make sure the snap ring is on the end of the axle as well and there are no little pieces of it broke off and stuck in the grove inside the diff.(I've done this and if you do get it back in it is not coming back out without dammage)

if that 2002 was a 6 speed, then you have a 3.9 gear torsen! the ones that come out of NA's are 4.10 gear!

damn that sucks. I made sure it was before I bought mine thats why I was trying to figure out how to remove the axles from the rearend lol. I really liked the 4.30 in my 92 rearend so I have been trying to find a 4.30 torsen and I lucked out big time with this one.

i knew it wasnt a torsen when i got it! nobody could have gotten a better deal on it than i could have! the 03's got there own unique diff, and it was only that year if i remember correctly! im eventually going to pick up a regular 4.10 torsen and get 3.63 gears put in it!
