Default I spanked a Integra in the 6psi miata.

I Knew it was way peppier. But DANG! I liked it at 4psi. But the itch hit and I installed the homade boost controller. I bumped it to 6psi, sometimes spiking 7psi.

I puncehed it, O-yea!!! I needed a ricer. And from the lord a Integra pulled up.

When we started he jumped on me, and as soon as the boost came in it was over. I caught up with him in second and passed him and in third I was leaving him. I looked in the rearview mirror and it looked like the girlfriend on the passenger side was about to drop her gum. LOL They couldn't belive a miata was leaving them. I was well pleased. That car should be what 30hp or more over mine? I think it was an auto, but my brothers H22 auto still ran hard.

I was on the prowl until I pulled alonge side a 5.0. LOL It was nice and moded! I figured I should go home glorious instead of having it trampled!LOL

I'm going to get on the 12psi project. Then I'll look for Muscle.

most 5.0 are not that fast...you should have taken the risk, I don't get upset getting walked by a car with twice as many cylinders, I am even proud if I hang with them, so what it's a truck or van lol.

The car you raced... if auto... was an b18b (ls) motor.... probably making 120-130hp on a good day. Heavier car also.

Hit the track and pick more enjoyable races

edit: just rechecked old dynos I remember.... 120hp outta that motor with bolt-ons (i/h/e) is about average....

Don't worry about mustangs so much, unless they are supercharged.

I pulled on my friends 07 GT from a roll. At only 10 psi too.

Honda's usually aren't as fast as people act. And the whole interferance motor ideal is stupid to me.
My cousins Del sol jumped timming yesterday. We hope the valves will be ok. It never had a problem, he went to start it and nothing. He said it had gas and spark. Mabe he will be ok. I told him to stop turning it over.

HE HAD JUST PURCHASED A GREDDY kit 2 days ago. He hasn't even seen the kit yet. He was supposed to have the belt changed, and pick the turbo up today.
He is pissed.

Budget is depleted, so I'm probably going to do the scca thing at the end of the month. I'll try to get setup for racing next year over the winter.

I beat stock srt-4's when I ran 8psi and Integra Type R's with bolt-ons at 6psi, so I would be embarrassed to even post this thread. I won't even get into how many Rustangs I beat.

we are dead even, then my buddy in a 5.0 blows right by us in the video....

A guy at work wants me to race his friends SRT4 running a full stand alone, 18psi and nitrous. I just laughed, I highly doubt my car can ever beat that.

I'm neck and neck with my friends stock 04 Mustang GT at 5.5 psi from a 30mph roll. Made for a hilarious talk afterwards. We both thought he was going to fly away.

Most stock cars suck. Especially 96-98 mustangs. But I bet if you ran 15psi you wouldn't of touched my 87 Fox body and it was all motor. It would yank the front wheels off the ground. There is alway an exception . ( like our miata's)

We can all go to La la land.............. And name some story of someone we out ran that couldn't drive. I out ran a Tiburon with NOS in my old Jeep with a 300hp 350 etc etc etc. I also could say that almost all cars suck because they usually don't pull 9.38 ET's like the ZX10 I had.
Point being NA miatas are slower than my 30 yrd old ***!!!! And I was surprised that it was peppy. NOT FAST, but as peppy as it is. And I never wasted my time with racing 4 cyls before. So I don't keep up with the shity HONDA's or Dodges.
Anything can be made fast.

READ between the lines. The car is faster.

I do like the boost.

Are the new Honda motors interference? My timing belt broke in my 93 Si hatch and nothing happened except I was stranded. Replaced it and I was good to go. Geeze, that was 14 years ago when I had that car.

That would be great if it isn't interference. He said he never heard any nocking of the valves in the motor.

Honda motors are all interference as far as i know.

Lower rpms and not trying to keep cranking it with a snapped belt, will make for the possibility of getting out if it without bent valves. The lower end motors have a better chance.... with lower compression and less aggressive cams.

Ive had a b18b timing belt snap... new belt and it was fine. Snapped at a few k rpm just crusing around.

The other day I was stopped at a light and a high schooler in an Integra pulls up next to me. I saw he had an intercooler (I'm NA) and I thought it might be fun to give it a shot. I smoked him off the line and had a solid car length on him up into 4th until I reached the speed limit and stopped accelerating. I think he was embaressed...he had his girlfriend with him.

hehe Miatas FTW

Street racing is not only illegal and dangerous - IT'S FUN AS HELL!

n/a hondas = small potatos, but any win is a good one.

I spanked the dog **** out of a G35 2dr coupe w/exhaust. Felt nice

P.S. miata's get squirrely @ 120mph. I probably won't be going that fast again.

90% of hondas aren't half as quick as the owners play, especially when they drive like a thug.

Like five years ago my brother and I pieced together a 400,000 mile junkyard motor for his Oldsmobile, 1976 350 Chevy with slipping 700R4, cheap header, weind intake, 650 Holley, MSD 6AL.. Has a 7 5/8" 10 bolt w/2.73 gears. On our test drive we ran across some idiot in a riced out bugeye integra with the worst looking body kit I've ever seen. The car was easily 2.5 feet longer than it was stock. He had NAWWWWS (OH NOES!) and with a 4000# car and a factory rated 170hp motor with a flat cam we put 2 cars on him. This Olds was not fast by any means... it ran a 16.2@88mph.

Racing a honda is like the special olympics..

I used to put the smack down on 4.6 mustangs all the time with a lowly JRSC... or even a 50 shot. I beat a chevelle with a 396 with a 75 shot once. I got a s2k on the 1/8mile when I was only making about 90 hp on toasted motor. My conclusion was a lot of people just dont know how to drive.

To those making fun of Hondas... it just means you never have been in or owned a good one.

Yes... the crowd has a lot of losers/theives/ricers... this is due to its size and costs involved... but due to its size... it also has a lot of high power and capable cars.

Get over yourselves

well I was referring mostly to stock Hondas. Probably should have worded that better. I've had 3 turbo hondas myself
