Apparently it relocates the oil pan to under the muffler as well . Seriously though it does look good. I will be picking one up when I am there next. The ones at Autozone are $12 and too tall. Thanks

My neighbor who is a former mechanic loaned me this shallow extra large funnel device used for catching fluid. It fits into my smaller pan to make pouring easy. I can't find a picture of one online but it's designed to catch trans fluid from auto transmissions that don't have a drain plug, but a pan with 20 friggin bolts that makes a big friggin mess like my Suby and my wife's Sebring.

It fits right on top of my drain dolly under the lift too.

So you too could have my setup for about $3K that m2cupcar is doing for 4 bux!

Just make sure they're not empty when you're cutting them open with a plasma cutter.....and you film yourself doing it.

Actually, I am going to score a couple of these for grinding deer burger this weekend. Short enough to fit under the outlet of the grinder but heavy duty enough to hold 40 lbs of meat. Just picked up a new LEM 3/4hp grinder. 7-9 lbs of meat a minute. woot.

I have given a lot of thought to this sh*t when I first got my miata!

Of every method I tried, this worked this best:

Cut the bottom 3" or 4" off a round gallon washer fluid jug and use it as a mini-drainpan under the oil filter - you can position it under the oil filter from under the hood (no underpan removal). Unscrew the filter and let it drain into said mini-drainpan. Remove filter with a rag wrapped 'round to catch any stray drips. Then carefully remove the mini-pan. It can be flexed enough to get it back out past the intake/TB even with quite a bit of oil without spillage - or if feeling tipsy, stuff a rag into it before pulling it...
