finished transmission, installed block-off plates, fuel rails, and alternator. The Alternator is from my 97 1.8L, it fits right on with the miata tensioner hardware. I can't switch the alternator's belt pulley until I can get an impact gun on it.
Everything fits, I'm just waiting on a pressure plate to show up in the mail, then it's go-time.
99 miata tailshaft, 99 miata gearbox, 91 rx7 bellhousing.

Why not? I daily drove mine just fine with BAC blocked off and a non functioning OMP. Just have to run some premix gas. I actually preferred my engine stripped with almost everything non essential blocked off. Stock there is just WAY too much **** to clutter the bay, and to go bad/break.

lol, I didn't even know what BAC was I had to google it just now. I just knew that whatever was supposed to be on that big hole was surely some stock antiquity and would be disregarded by my megasquirt anyway. I also removed and blocked off the secondary port sleeves and just jb-welded the pineapple racing radiused port inserts into the ports.

I had no idle control on my 1.8 either. I'll just rig the idle to be sorta high all the time like I did on the miata. cold it would purr like a kitten at 6-800, hot it would work it's way up to 1400 or so. hopefully it's that easy on the 1.3
edit: oh and yeah i'm dailying this thing. premixing isn't too bad. i'll just keep some two stroke oil in my trunk
Edit2: that's not an FD alternator; it's a miata alternator. it fits up just fine with the miata long bolt that goes all the way through the alt.

no turbos at least right now. believe me I want to, but it would be more cost and more things blowing up.
The car's layout will definitely end up being pretty much FMR. only the front cover and pullies go over the steering rack.
