Took some more pictures at the request of someone in my thread and thought I'd add them here for those wanting more angles of the vents.
Don't cut out your cross bracing like I did unless you no longer have the OEM hood latch. Granted, I believe the vents add back additional support. Hood was scary flimsy until I bolted them on, now it is pretty solid. I got impatient trying to cut around the bracing and decided to say, "screw it", and zipped it all off fast like. Touch up paint is sitting in a box at my bakery so I'll get the cut areas all cleaned up soon.

not much weight in aluminum. I'm not sure about NBs but on every NA I've seen the adhesive they used to attach the cross bracing to the skin no longer works and once you've cut some of the cross bracing you might as well take it all since it doesnt seem to do much when not connected to the skin.

Man, I've been so on the fence about getting these. They look great but the swept vent is right on top of my air filter due to my turbo setup. I have no other way of routing it. I've held several thought experiments about how to block water from dripping directly in or covering the filter with a shield somehow but theres just no space.
if only there was a single, wide vent like Orions setup for his track car opening just the area behind the radiator. I really cant justify buying an aftermarket extracor hood but may have to if SuperMiata rad doesn't solve cooling problems.

Jeff - that just might be my favorite customer install of these so far. (But then, I'm also going through a smurf affection phase haha)
psyber_0ptix - Don't over-think it. A simple shield made from a piece of aluminum is more than enough. If you need some suggestions, feel free to PM/email me a pic of your situation.

I'm going to update our website with some of the great customer pics that have been posted. Hoping to see many more finished installs from you guys in the future! If anyone does not wish to have their pics used on our site or social media, please send me a PM.

It takes a LOT of water to hurt an engine. Unless the filter is angled up so that water would drip down into the compressor, I would probably just let it ride. Worst case, you could punch a hole in the end cap of the filter, and put a bolt through it to use as a stud for a forward mounting point if you want to run a shield, and you're that worried about vibration.
