Not sure yet. The 3.5L would be the most popular so far only because of the numbers produced (F150 would be the highest volume so far) and the sizing would be appropriate (1.75L). Not sure if the 2.7 uses the same turbos or not.

Tourism is getting close to ridiculous here in Iceland.
Real estate prices have gotten so out of hand that people can barely afford to buy their first property. Every apartment or house has been bought up to be turned into air B&B's or hostels, and has driven the prices up to insane levels. Real estate prices have just barely doubled in the last 5 years
I personally have seen the price of my apartment go up 80k USD in 2 years since I bought it. And I am afraid that this bubble will burst violently when the flow of tourists will slow down.
But let's talk about the flow, I live 5 minutes from the only international airport in the country and I see people in rental cars driving like they had literally gotten their license through mail school. I see tourists stopping in the middle of the road to take pictures of northern lights with no thought about their surroundings. On the 24.th of December I was driving home after festivities at my parents place and as I go over a blind hill and into a turn down a hill right after that a tourist has parked his car on the icy road in the middle of the turn and was behind it taking pictures, the retard even shut his cars lights off so he could see better. I managed to swerve past him and got out FUMING and told him what a colossal retard he was for parking in a downhill turn, right after a blind hill and turn off his lights on an icy road. And he was just oblivious to the danger he caused.
And now 2 days ago a 18 year old girl was killed on her way to school2 minutes further down that same road when a group of tourists decided to take a U-turn and cut her off. I have lost count of how many times I've seen tourists do stupid things like that on that one road.

And talking about our sights, some of our most beloved sights are being trampled to **** be people that don't respect trails and go off into the moss that takes decades to heal.
For an example these idiots that decided to go to our most valued national park, Þingvellir. The worlds oldest still standing parliament was founded there in 930AC. They decided to camp there, and not only that, dug out moss to use as insulation for their tents Náttúruspjöll unnin á Þingvöllum - mbl.is
Or idiots that with sheer stubbornness try to get up on glaciers in rental cars, get stuck of course, wander from their cars and are found barely alive or dead after a storm hits. It just seems that people have no common sense and expect the world to be all cuddly and can't comprehend how dangerous situations they get themselves into. And then Forcing others to go into danger to save them. I personally have seen tourists try to pass rivers in Toyta yaris small cars and get stuck.

We were hit hard. People had been building houses with loans in foreign currency and hoping to sell their old houses to offset the cost, But everyone was building new houses so no one bought the old ones. The banks and loan companies foreclosed on both the homes when the foreign currency loans doubled when the ISK collapsed. The thing about the banks was that people were gutting them from the inside AND that the worlds economy took a hit, making the schemes apparent. But people are idiots and have elected most of the same idiots back in to control, although we now have an upswing in smaller parties getting a bigger share of the pie every 4 years. We do not have as polarized political system as the US.
And we're in that same swing again with the same corrupt bullshit happening again. I'm not taking any loans because I saw people getting burnt. But people seem to stupidly think that "this time we'll just keep swinging up" and they're spending money and taking loans with total confidence in our small currency. When the tourism dwindles you'll see another huge downswing when the housing market has gotten that inflated but the money doesn't flow like it used to. I'm really thinking about selling my apartment soon, getting a type certificate for aircraft, work abroad and collect money for a few years and return when the bubble bursts and I can buy cheap.

Homogeneous charge compression ignition, or HCCI, is the black art of of internal combustion engines that aims to produce diesel-like fuel efficiency for the cost of gasoline. Although some of its competitors have developed and subsequently given up on the tech, Mazda confirmed that the next-generation of SkyActiv engines will employ HCCI technology, improving fuel economy by 30 percent and at the same time reducing exhaust emissions.
According to Nikkei, a new SkyActiv family of engines is set to debut under the hood of the next-gen Mazda3 sometime in 2018 before making its way into other vehicles. In simple terms, an engine that uses HCCI burns the air/fuel mix using pressure instead of with spark plugs, just like a diesel. At 14:1, Mazda's gasoline engines already have some of the highest compression ratios out there, but a move to HCCI means cranking up the compression to 18:1.
While the tech sounds relatively straightforward, using HCCI means dealing with a number of side issues. It's one of those "on paper" ideas that compounds problems when put into practice. Heat, revs, and fuel must all be carefully managed as gasoline doesn't burn the same way as diesel. Mazda is mum on details, but the automaker seems confident that the issues have been sorted. If the new engines do indeed make it to market with HCCI, Mazda will have out-engineered GM, Daimler, and Hyundai, all of which have tried and failed to develop HCCI engines in a cost-effective package.
With the market moving towards electrification, it's interesting to see Mazda still focusing so heavily on traditional internal combustion gasoline engines. It's an indication of where they see the market heading for the next few years. Although the automaker has been hesitant to move forward with hybrid and electric powertrains, Nikkei also reports that Mazda will begin mass production of EVs in 2019.

There are lots of rumors of Hydra going out of business or being close to it for a while now. FM is planning on continuing to support the Hydra for as long as possible as far as I know.
They knew they were loosing market share with the Hydra being so expensive. So they are partnering with ME to bring the ME221 to the US and branding it as the FM221. Bill the owner has a big thing of being the sole provider of whatever ECU's they use in the US. They have done this with the Link, Hydra, and now the ME221.
