Just an observation. I've now driven from Monterey, CA to Jacksonville, FL (with a 5-month stop in TX) with no trouble from the MS unit at all.

Pretty good for so-called "fly-by-night" engine management.

People are so quick to call megasquirt crap. Megasquirt is great, its just not for morons that dont know what they're doing.

Of course, my engine is ruined because of a megasquirt issue but its not the fault of the megasquirt that my TPS circuit shorted. My fault entirely.

I just returned from a 7 day, 3,100 mile road trip from NY to New Orleans & back, and though the car still needs some tuning, my MSPNP worked like a champ.

I have about 10k miles on my MS. The longest drive was from Atlanta to Topeka and back for the Solo Nationals. All is, and has been, well. The best $200 I've ever spent.

I put 30k on my car in 2 years with an MSPNP. Great ECU for the money.

Fly by night? No! I drove my car to the gap the day after it was squirted and dyno tuned and left the stock ECU at home, even though it was still a bare board without a case. Nearly 3 years and 13k miles later it's still doing great thanks to Jerry and Matt at DIY..

I guess I need to drive more.

It is probably those wine sippers at m.net that can't work on their own car that say that. The MS is for the mechanically inclined, and not the e-cool laptop racer.

Agreed. But I'm still a moron when it comes to self tuning though.
