You couldn't beat the smile off of my face if I had one of those to cruise in. I'd prefer mine in blue or red though. One of the pimpmost long hood cars out there.
Though I'm not a Jag fan, an E-Type with the LOOOONG front with a V12 tucked away would be pretty nice to have to constantly work on. My "grandfather" used to keep a green one on display in his auto body shop.

Seriously, I do like the look of the new concept car. But somehow, I always find things like this a little bit sad. These cars which deliberately try to invoke a sort of retro look always wind up making me think about bad movie remakes and rap covers of classic rock songs. Yeah, every once in a great while you get Afrika Bambaataa, but more often than not you end up with Mark Wahlberg or Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson.

Is that yours? It is exactly the same condition of one that is parked on a farm literally 1/2 mile from me. Same color, but it's a 1600. I tried to buy it but the owner "is going to restore it someday". Yeah, it's been sitting there uncovered for at least the 10 years we have lived there.
The Jags are nice but that Toyota 2000GT is sleek as hell.

The Beetle.
The Camaro.
The Mustang.
The T-bird.
The Challenger.
The Ford GT.
The Prowler.
How many of these cars were cooler the second time around? Not faster or more reliable or better handling, but the coolness factor.
None, that's how many.

I'd only take the new one for it's reliability. Ignoring the reliability I'd take the original hands down. I've heard rumors of the carbs, which aren't separated from the passenger compartment at all, spitting fuel and catching the car on fire.
