In all honesty who we vote into the house and senate has a much larger impact on the country and it's policies than the president. There are very few things the president can do without their approval. On the downside the president can veto good policies that the people at large DO agree with because they don't. Our whole political system is fucked up.

Something that really aggravated me when I went to vote yesterday is that they now separate the dems and reps into different ballots and polling stations. So, even though I wanted to vote DEM for some offices, I couldn't because they weren't even on the REP ballot I was given. This is bullshit. I should be able to vote for any of the people running regardless of party affiliation.

It's the RNC and DNC's gig. They set the rules for the primary and can pretty much do what they want.

Not being sexists at all. It just so happens she has a vagina.

here is a short list of why i despise her:

"35 years of experience"- Of what? The only experience she has is trying to shove Universal health care during her husband's presidency and voting YES on the resolution to go to war, but now saying it was only an authorization for diplomacy. If anything, she can't read.

She panders, I know all politicians do it, be she does it in biblical scales. Case in point, all of her speeches includes a sob story like a mom with 5 kids, no father, trying to make ends meet. But don't worry, help is on the way! The Feds will take care you!! According to her, she has a plan that will SAVE everyone, from single parenthood to lousy real esate dealings. And according to her, we are doing sooo badly. Guess what, if Bush's tax cuts get expired, those are making 30-60k a year (i.e, us) will be get hit the hardest.

Another reason, Bill Clinton. It's time those white trash to go back to Arkansas.

And for the record, I voted for Fred Thompson. :P

In that sense,

Couldn't have said it better myself. Those are the exact points I had in mind, you just do a much better job of communication.

On another note, how can anyone actually respect that woman? Gets on tv and bawls because she didn't get her way, yet runs a TV ad asking if Obama could handle the stress of a late night stressful telephone call?? Please.

LOl dude, don't come here! Not that I don't want you but, all the things you have pointed are here in Canada

Healthcare is paid by everyone (who works) for everyone ( who doesn't works). Here (in Quebec at least) the medicament cost is probably one of the higher on earth. The Government (lol government doesn't pay, it's my little *** that pays for that ****) pays for a goos part of medicament so the compagnies just keep their price upward...

^^By all means, Canadians please chime in on how awesome universal health care is. I would like to learn more about your system from the horses mouth, rather then TV pundits.

Well ask questions and I'll try to respond to it. I'm no expert at all. And all I can say is that I don't go often to hospital, the truth is: my card is expired since November 2006 lol I'm just too lazy to ask an other one..... But well, here when you go to hospital, and doctor office, you just show your card and you don't pay anything at all. You pay for your medecine but the government pay a part too. But you can have personnal insurrance that cover an other part of it too. That's the good points

The bad ones are that, the healthcare is freebie (or seems to, but cost terribly much to us) so some people abuse of it (especially lone and aged people) so you have too much people in hospitals for nothing. There is numerous surgery wait line and for that reason it's not unusual to see canadian going to USA and pay to be healed faster.

For more information you can go there: http://www.ramq.gouv.qc.ca/en/citoye...lisation.shtml

I upsell on my resume too. To be fair though, everyone was forced to vote yes on the war. You vote for it or you can never show your face on the hill again.

Everyone's speeches are like that. Whatever state's primary is coming sounds like this:

"I was in ____ the other day and a ____ came up to me and grabbed my _____. He/She said to me 'My _____ is too _____ and I just can't get _____!! Help!' And I told her/him that I will bring my _____ to the white house and fix _____ on my ______ day in office!!!"

Another reason, Bill Clinton. It's time those white trash to go back to Arkansas.
Come on, "white trash"? Rhodes scholar at Oxford. Try again.

Yes, but....you have to be able to handle canadians who look down their noses at Americans (yet, they won't ever actually DO anything - its just easier to say you did it wrong than to actually try and do anything).

Our government sponsored tv is a little biased, which brainwashes most people. Our politicians are weak, and the we LOVE to tax you to death.

SO much so, here is a for instances:

a mickey of vodka that is $6-8 in Montana is $15-19 here.
An average house in Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver (West coast big cities) are well over $400,000, a nice one is $750,000+. THe equivalent house in Pheonix currently is $250,000. (4,000 sqft 2 storey).
Cheese is 3 times the price here
Meat and steak is 2 times the price here
Gas is currently 1.09 per litre which is * 4.54 - almost 5/gallon
beer is about $12 for 12.

If you are rich, sure, it would be a great place, there are many bush haters who moved here after the last election, maybe if a democrat gets elected, you can guy their house. Just don't expect to acually be able to own a gun.

Wrong sir. Obama voted no and look at where he is.

And yes, white trash. You can take the person out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the person. Same thing applies. The Clintons are weasels. Bill just wants popularity, and Hillary wants POWER. And they will use whatever dirty tricks they can to get it.

Hillary spent millions before the Iowa caucasses, and lost, big time. She then went on the air to say, "Everyone knows Iowa isn't an important state and they don't predict the next president" (paraphrase). That's a slap in the face. So she goes to Texas and talks about how much she likes Mexican food to get the latino vote. If she would have lost Texas, she would say, "Well, latinos are not really important". She talks about "Special Interest Groups", yet she is the single biggest benefactor of the groups that she denounces. And the list goes on......

Yeah so do I, but FFS (LOL! ) upselling on OUR resumes for IT positions (I assume you do something similar) is a little bit different from a Presidential candidate IMHO.

I'll call her the Lizard Bitch just because I think its a fun and fitting name. Thats no worse than the names Bush is called on a day to day basis. No, I'm not a big trumpet for Bush, but I like his political stand on taxes for the most part and I absolutely can't ******* stand what Clinton and Osama... I mean Obama's views on taxes.

I also like how the closer a Dem gets to the hot seat the more they seem to support the Iraq confrontation and have backed down on their "We'll pull our troops tomorrow!!" stand. Do I think we should have gone there? Part of me says Yes, Part of me says no. Did we do it for the wrong reasons? Partly there also. Did we do it purely for oil? Not a ******* chance, in my opinion. Personally if I were GB Sr. I'd have finished what I started back in 1991. His deadline was Jan 15th 1991 and I was glued to my TV set all day long watching CNN, that was my birthday. Honestly you have to face it, was Saddam a huge growing threat to the world Security? Yes. Did he have all these weapons which we alleged he did? I believe so, and I think the weapons still exist in surrounding territories where he had ample time to smuggle them out of country while the UN was sucking on Saddams dick.

I guess its a good thing I'm full blooded German, eh? (lol.) I can think of another country off the top of my head thats heavily TV sponsored Bias and full of brainwashing... North Korea sound familiar?

Guess I just have to face the fact that there aren't very many better places to live in the world. I'm just starting to get the feeling that the 'States are gonna totally fall apart soon.. And it'll all be George Bush's fault cause you know the President has the final and only say in everything in the country. A dem could drop an atomic bomb in the middle of kansas and somehow they'd blame it on Bush FFS!

Obama, who had his first day in the seante in January 2005, voted "no" on something in October 2001? This is public record. Check it out:

dirty politics IS politics but that has very little to do with how you think the clintons grew up. and it's largely irrelevant. Have you heard of GW Bush who grew up in Connecticuit and has a fake southern accent?

Hillary spent millions before the Iowa caucasses, and lost, big time. And the special interest stuff is why I respect Obama more. Don't think that my defense of your personal attacks on the Clintons is because I prefer her for president--I don't. I don't think she inspires people the way Obama does and for a non-evangelical non-republican watching Bush go down in flames with rock bottom approval ratings that have dropped steadily since 2001, I need someone around here who will get the blood flowing.

elesjuan: GW Bush's stand on taxes is: drive the deficit to record levels, drive the national debt to record levels, give people a few hundred bucks, RUN LIKE HELL in 2009. 3 trillion to 5 or even 6 trillion in his 8 years.

You just described the NY metropolitan area compared to most of the rest of the country. As well as several other metropolitan areas in the US as well I'm sure...or most cities of the world compared to rural areas like Montana.

Umm no we don't look down our nose. It's just legitimal. You seem to forget that USA **** us everyday with everything we export to you. Just think about the wood tax. And do you think any second that you would help us if we were in an economical ****? Yeah sure! I can surely say to you that i'm taxed equally or even more than you. On my pay, 33% of it goes to the government. And I just have a 28K pay. If I had a 45-50K it would be 50%. And that it doesn't even count the 15% tax on everything you buy.

Houses in calgagy, BC and all those places, sure are expensive, but it's easy to get a 35$+/hour pay with possibility to make 60-80 hours/week so, count it as you want but it's not that horrible.

I pay 1.20$ the liter for my gas. And you know what, 14 cents of that goes directly to my government.

As for the beer I don't know but i'm sure i would pay more than you if I bought some.

This is complete and utter bullshit. I live in Edmonton and just bought a house, so I know what it's like.

It isn't EASY to make 70-80k a year here. You don't get off the bus from Quebec and some ******* hands you a hardhat and a cheque. You either have to be skilled or willing to work 14 hours a day. It's anything but easy. I bought my house in 2007 for $250,000. Right now that same house is SELLING for $400,000. I certainly don't make 1.5X I did this time last year.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I made out very well since I already owned property.

Go to Fort Mcmurray and work! I got a cousin there and he has a 35$/hour pay. And they need workers like a junkie needs his drug. I work 14 a day and it's not that hard. Work 5 days, got 3 days of rest. There IS some money to do in your part of the country. Like there is some to do up in the north here with all the electricity and dam construction.

haha it still amuses me how many people think saddam was related to 9/11.

what amuses me a little bit more is that there are people on this forum (statistically) that are going "huh?? he wasn't?"

You make reference to your background of being German then immediatly state I'm full of ****? So if a Surname of Han from my mother and Jäger from my father along with the fact that all four of my grandparents moved directly to the States from Germany in 1941 makes me full of ****.. Well so be it, can't help you there.

As for my political views, I do my research and if you can't read into my sarcasm, ignore my post. You can think what you want about me, and I frankly don't really give a flying ****. So I guess the fact that I really don't like Clintons, what they stand for, and what shes been trying to push on this country makes me a sexist and racist? Seeing how I'm technically a Minority with European background makes that a little hard.... What, I hate white people? ******' Cracker *** crackers...

Oh, my bad dawg! I forgot!! George Bush blew up the World Trade Center in a controlled demolition then picked up the Rolodex for a scapegoat.. "Hmm... Hey look, we haven't bombed Iraq in a while, and hey! We even armed them! Lets go England!"
