OH MY HOLY GOD IN HEAVEN! (woot.)
#26
Just got it today... very sexy little device. The screen on the receiver is the weak link, but it has an AV-out and passes VGA... so hooked up to a smaller 23" LCD and viewing at native resolution, it actually looks pretty good'ish. The TV you see in my attached pic is a 52" LCD... pixels are clearly visible, but the image is totally acceptable for the purpose. The audio is great too, but again, the micro speaker on the reciever is the weak link.
It comes with easy-to-use software, so recording to a hardrive through your PC is cake and the transfer is perfect. You're not going to get any face recognition from more than about 10 feet away, but for $95 it'll be a toy.
I'd be pissed if I'd spent what Amazon wants for this setup instead of Woot'en it.
The fact that both the cameras and the receiver are battery powered makes this thing very versatile. Right now both cameras are going to be watching the kids sleep, but I may find other uses for them... like keeping tabs on the babysitter or what not.
Here is the Amazon link to the product with only one camera... I got 2 cameras with mine. Woot rocks my sox.
