Passing away of family, what do i do? Advice needed.

Thank you all.
Went to pick up the Urn from the funeral home today. Surprisingly now that he's back home my mind feels at ease.
As far as the lawyer, I have taken your advice and have talked to one that my employer recommends. Nothing we can do until we get the death certificate though.

Sorry for the loss. Most was covered by the others, but I would mention one thing. Try to stay away from the woulda, shoulda, coulda debate. For me personally, and what I've seen with others, dealing with loss later when the so called dust settles is "wish I could have....." debates. It becomes crippling at times.

I did not see this previously. I am very sorry for your loss.
I hope things aren't proving too difficult with the estate. Funeral homes are a racket that take advantage of people in their most vulnerable times and I find what many of them do is inexcusable. Hopefully you navigated your way through that minefield well.
