Scooter Performance Upgrades (Tank 50qt-9)
I just got to hawaii two days ago and my dad bought a Tank scooter, 50qt-9 or something like that.
Its a dog. We drilled a hole through the exhaust baffles (small one). Opened up the carb and adjusted the needle to add some fuel. Now it has great top-end and will do closer to 50 compared to the 25 top speed it had before. The low-end sucks terribly though.
So today we asked a local scooter shop what to do, he said drill out the jet one size larger. We had him do that for us. Now it bogs like a **** on tip-in. It already wouldn't hardly go up a damn hill without some flinstone kicking.
I could just about strangle dad for buying this chinese piece of **** when he could have gotten a Metropolitan, Vino, Vespa, or anything besides this piece of ****. Even our Korean made scooter kicks this things ***.
Anyone know what can be done carb wise to fix this issue possibly? We also adjusted the valves to make sure they were tight enough.

you would be shimming the main carburetor needle(jet), research carbed bikes and incorporate the same things people do with them, with a scooter though I dunno If itll do a whole lot basically it feeds more fuel if running a more efficent intake or exhaust mods, heres a link for a bigger (jet) for what I think you have http://www.xinlingworld.com/scooterp...rch=50&page=11
also a link for engine upgrade lol http://www.scootsusa.com/stroke-80cc-engine-upgrade-belt-drive-p-114.html
that link has tons of parts rev unlimters etc...

We're changing the clutch weights out now to try and get it to wrap out more before engaging.
Dad really got screwed on the p.o.s.. The dealer wouldn't let him test drive it and he gave him a shitty deal. Dad is normally a man of great common sense and good business deals, though he dropped the ball on this one big time.
Outside of that, no haole treatment really. We know enough locals and my family has been here more than long enough to be considered locals.
We've done up and down around upside down inside out. Seems we have something that will work now so its time to take it down the road and see how it works.
