Should I buy another miata?
I am about to drop 35-50k on some spiffy new car. BMW 335d, Lexus IS-F, or merc C63AMG.
I really want something that is very pleasant to spend time in while I shlep around the DC beltway in stop and go traffic etc.
Instead of buying one of the aforementioned cars, should I instead
Just Buy Another Miata?
I really love my miata so why shouldn't I just buy another NB for daily driving whroing? OR A NC

I've always thought about getting an NB and making the interior real nice. Adding nav, a nice sound system, sound deadening everywhere including on the inside of the hardtop, Alcantara seats, steering wheel, door panels ect. (since I'm guessing you don't want to go with suede). I think when I get an NB I'm going to do some of that, diffidently wrap the rollbar in something nice. Maybe start with a nice clean 10AE, get black 6UL wheels, a black hardtop. All that stuff plus xidas, big brakes, a 6 speed with 3.73 gears and a high revving LS1 would make my perfect miata.
Then again even if you left out the drivetrain mods, it would still be a project. I think a 335D would be a nice counterbalance to your high strung boostmobile, maybe it'd give you some appreciation for Miatas power.
Saying *** it to the Subi?
EDIT:
Aren't those jags horribly unreliable, hence the price tag?

I don't want another project. If I got another NB i would probably just put on my old racing beat exhaust and some lowering springs. And a rollbar when I found one. And my silver 6UL set.
The used subie I was going to get was sold. I am just going to sell the subie to carmax or someone for like 3000.

No miata. It would be a great economical idea but you forget you have a complete turbo kit and exhaust for an nb do you really what to have to control yourself from that.lol I would recommend something like jesse's vette 20k and it is sweet fast and fuel efficient when your foot is not on the floor. I think for the price the car is amazing. It also has enough *** that you will not want to mod it.

I went a few years without modding my daily Miata. I recently got a great deal on shocks for it and since the engine lived a life of sadness with the previous owner, it's going to receive a VVT swap. It's really convenient to have two Miatas in for maintenance and trouble-shooting, I have boxes of wheel bearings, sensors, bolts, clippies...and most go between cars just fine. I haven't owned a car that cost more than one paycheck in 6-years.
My daily is special:
No one would ever steal it, and this is somewhat liberating. I can park it outside in Houston and I know it will be there when I get back. If it hails, I don't care.
