Don't camp and sleep in your car while drunk, don't hold your car keys, don't "intend" to drive if you're drunk. I watched the news back in 2008 when I lived there, it scared me.

Does Action 7 still run a Chupacabra story twice per year?

I was talking to a lawyer buddy out there about this... and NM's laws are extremely strict and sketchy. The cops are batshit crazy ********, and you can technically be guilty of DUI if you're passed out in a non-running car on blocks in your front yard. Sounds to me like it's gone way beyond safety and it's considered a steady source of income. Fun.

Chupacabra always leads on a slow news day...

I haven't watched the local news in years.

I appreciate the guidance. I don't think Taos or anything that far away will be on the menu but it looks intriguing. I might get to run to Santa Fe and back on Sunday. Is anyone familiar with the squiggly little mountain road from Sandia Park to Placidas that I see on the map?

It's a fun road, but 165 is dirt once you make the turn off from the crest road(536).

Rally rental car? Sounds like a youtube hit to me. You should still check it out, you don't get the full NM experience without checking out some of our dirt roads..
