Burnt out.
The weather got cold here about three weeks ago, and i since then, i haven't been able to get the car to start. No matter what i do. The car battery dies in the middle of trying. My laptop only holds a charge for about 20 minutes, so that adds to the fun. long story short, i think my ignitor is borked, but i won't know until i can do some more testing.
I should be ticked off, but i just don't have the patience for it at this point. I might try to tackle it this weekend, but i'm at the point (for the first time during this project) that i've just become disgusted and feel like i need some time off from the project. Right now all I have is an ugly primered car that has been modified to the point that now i can't even start the damned thing. I knew going into the megasquirt system that it would be a learning experience and that there were going to be setbacks and constant tweaking. I have no problem with that. But i haven't so much as been able to pull the car out of my driveway since i installed it, and that was over a month ago.
What do you guys do to keep focused on a big project like this? I guess I'm just kind of bummed that i've spent all this money and time on this car and still don't have anything just quite yet to show for it. It's in the works, sure, but just not yet. This post isn't really about anything. just bitchin'. sorry folks.
