Default 21 & 22 FEB autox school and autox

Figured I'd start a thread in the right forum vs. bringing the other thread further OT.

So, I'll see you there on Sunday, Sav, even if I will be driving the lead sled.

See you out there too, ThePass?

Depending on weather I may or may not be there on Sunday. I will definitely be there Saturday though.

Just in case: NorCal UFO

Hope you stick around Sav. How long of a drive is this for you? I can literally see the site from my classroom window.

Ryrye - What part of C Cal are you from?

Hope you do man, I really hope a Miata gets FTOD. I've seen it happen with a CSP Miata so it has to be possible. I'm too shitty a driver and I'll be in a fail-wheel-drive vehicle, so I'm right out.. :P

If Monterrey is too far, there is an auto x going on at the Oakland coliseum. I haven't decided if where i would go if i stayed home this weekend.

I just think it would be cool to meet some of the local members and do an autox at the same time, but the weather is not looking good for Sunday. Shoot, i've been here 2 and a half years and the only member I have met was projectfox86 ... who was sort of a douchebag who got banned later. Helped him with an engine swap and did most of the work, lol ... got a free transmission and $100 though.

Ok, I am probably retarded and blind, but where the hell is this going to be taking place? like what city? I'm in sacramento, and if the drive isnt more than 1 hour I'll definitely try to make it.

Looks like its in Marina, CA, near Salinas.

I'd like to meet other MT people too, but I wouldn't drive 3+ hours for an autox, while I'd happily drive 3 or more hours for a trackday at buttonwillow or SOWS (i'm afraid of being raped too hard on big willow).

Just looked at the weather report one more time to see if the rain is supposed to clear... apparently not. There's even a "special weather alert" for NorCal. This blows.

well, i ended up going canyon driving in Del Puerto canyon (from patterson to Livermore) and had a great time. Cheaper than Autox, but not the same.

koto = fail. It was wet in the morning, dried, then rained during the 3rd run group, then dried out during the 4th and stayed dry until the middle of the 6th. I co-drove with another Bay Area guy who brought his 225/45-13 Hoosier A6s along.
