haha, yea I have stayed at the oakwood comfort inn twice now. Its nice and cheap, but my last room sucked. the door didn't close all the way and the tea tasted like ****. and the coffee maker was full and spilled hot water everywhere.
First room was great.
Update for the weekend, my new VC gasket isn't coming in till friday...GAYYYYY. I should have stopped being cheap and ordered it from rosenthal. anyways, I will have to eat lunch in a car and drive back home to snag it up and put it on saturday morning.
I is excited! Now to complain to LLR about my alignment...

You'd be better off buying one at Southerlin Mazda in Buford instead of burning that much gas to go home and back. When you get home, put that one up for sale...someone will snag it from you. If you want one, I can get a price from my guy (Mazda dealer) that gives me stupid good pricing and bring ut up to you Friday evening.
I gotta call Eric today.

My friend Jarod will be bringing his RV out and his car on a trailer. He is talking about setting it up on top of the hill in the infield above the race paddock. I don't think he is 100% dead set on it but it would keep you away from the crowds and we could maybe have a campfire. The area below tech or even the cul-du-sac below that would be fine as well. I'm not picky. If you are up top in the infield you just drive around to the scoring tower and paddock when you are in class or getting ready to run. I imagine you might even walk less doing it that way than if you camped closer and didn't drive to everything, lol. But whatever, I'm easygoing.
Jarod is planning on grilling so if you bring burgers and dogs you can grill with us for lunch both days. And maybe Saturday for dinner we could grill before venturing out for drinks to save money. Or booze it there if you want to be even cheaper. Be sure to bring coolers and drinks if you want to get boozed around the campfire Saturday night. Bourbon is our friend when it gets cool out. I <3 campfires.
Just pm me your phone numbers so we can find you and your location early Saturday morning when we arrive. If you are saving spaces, Jarod will have the RV and a tandem axle trailer, I will have my white Tundra and a tow dolly, and Gary will be driving his car up, just so you will know what kind of room we will be needing just for us to fit.
This will be fun.

We should make it a 40 ounces to Freedom weekend. All we drink is 40's.
I am down for camping wherever. I figure by the time I get there Saturday you gals should have it all figured out.

And drinking usually makes sleeping in tents not such a big deal, lol. Don't miss out on social hour(s)!

Yes, Gary blew them both. The GT-R was at ~150mph and still accelerating on a deserted stretch of private roadway that strongly resembled an interstate highway. The car stopped accelerating and then stopped running. We had just refueled and he didn't swap maps from the race gas tune to the street gas tune. There is molten aluminum in the exhaust manifold. His last recorded dyno pull was 733whp on pump gas but that was before he modernized his ecu and injectors and had it retuned. He was planning to get dyno time the week following the catastrophe to get some fresh numbers but now it makes zero.
The turbo 350z was his cruiser/date car and only made 420whp but started smoking from a bad turbo seal. The oil contaminated the mass air sensor and caused the computer to make it run lean. We think number 5 piston has cracked rings because it smokes and has lower compression than the others. Definitely not track ready.
I've never seen the movie. Can somebody burn me a copy?
BTW, why aren't you doing track days?
Can you legally have a passenger in 4? If so, think of me fondly.
