UK Mapper coming to Florida 1st fortnight of June
Hi all,
I'm coming to Florida for a fortnight at the beginning of June 2015 for a holiday and wondered if there's any decent meets/shops that are worth visiting whilst I'm over.
I'm going to be doing some e-tuning whilst away so will have my tuning gear to hand should anyone want me to cast an eye over there tune in exchange for a beer or two let me know!
For those who don't know who I am, I run Ardler Automotive here in the UK and make turbo manifolds like this:
My main work is freelance tuning anything from Dallara F3 cars to 1000+wbhp GTR's & Porsche's, with knowledge across Megasquirt, Adaptronic, Syvecs, Life Racing, Motec, Haltech, Link, Vipec, AEM, HKS F-Con, Emerald, DTAFast, MBE, UpRev and EcuTek etc…
Here's a UK press article about me published this month and one of the pro-level drift cars in Europe that I was heavily involved with tuning last year [from the same magazine].
Looking forward to seeing how things are done on the other side of the pond!
I'll be "officially" on holiday in Orlando/Disney area, but plan to move around and see some stuff. If there's enough people interested I'd be happy to drive down to Miami beach for a couple of days or to other parts of Florida - I'd need to make it work $ wise but I'm not looking at getting rich from you lot.
Thanks,
Dan

I'd take advantage of this if I was in FL

Dan,
It takes 13 hours to drive from one end of Florida to the other. It is about twice as far as from Dover to Glasgow. Could you be a little bit more specific? I'd love to meet up for a brew or two if you aren't too many hours from me.

We're meant to be on a big family holiday in the usual Disney area [villa booking states max 20mins drive to Disney] BUT I'm planning on getting out and around - the idea of laying by a pool for 2 weeks and not smelling hydro-carbons is going to do my head in. I've ordered a convertible mustang for my time there - after that I'm headed to NYC and possibly LA so expect to see further similar posts soon!

I'm 45 minutes from the theme parks and don't ever go. The big mouse is actually a rat.
It'll be hot and humid as hell by June. The Brits are usually bright red within a couple of days of arrival.
We will definitely meet up.
Track days at Sebring are May 2-3 and June 20-21 with NASA. I'll check what other groups have the track about that time.
