texas crew: Eagle's Canyon now offers affordable track time

I've been out there on two occasions. Its a great track with good flow. The track is starting to deteriorate already though. The braking zones already have washboard. It would be really fun with a high hp car i would think. My 1973 Formula ford turned a 1:58. Still not as good as MSR cresson IMHO but pretty close to Hallet.

BTW first time out beware of that pit lane with cold tires. Decreasiong radius turn will make you look like a fool.

Ya they just did a bunch of stuff for safety out there too. Redid the pit entrance and whatnot. Got a friend who races vintage with me that got that badass deal on a membership thy had a few years back. He payed like 2000 and got full mmbership for life. Anyways, he took his 94 ZR1 out there and said it was a blast having good HP on the track (he drives a 1275cc MG midget in CVAR). that is until he went off and fucked up the right side suspension and wheels. Going off out there is rough, I have first hand experience.

I have done hundreds of racing laps at TWS (no exaggeration) but also on two wheels, not four. Also done Hallett, MSR-C, MSR-H, and Barber. TWS is fast fast faaaaast! Easily the fastest of the bunch. I've been 170 mph on the front straight, 130+ easy through turn 1, with lots of knee dragging though the other corners there. I love that track.
