I know of someone in Ga that is currently swapping a 1UZFE into a Miata...IIRC might be adding twinst to it as well.

1UZ = fully forged bottom end/cast iron 4.0 V8....one bad ************.

And you can buy a whole LS400 for $1000 or less with some body damage to get the engine, trans, wiring, ECU.

I think that it will be my next project.

yup, they are dirt cheap to pick up. Came in the earlier SC400/GS400/LS400 and the T100 trucks (I think). T

Not the T100, but a longer stroke version of that engine was featured in the Tundra starting in 2000 displacing 4.7L. The largest the T100 had was the 3.4L six it shared with the 4Runner.
