Default Cool things that you can not afford (Stuff I saw at PRI)

This amazing sprint car should be called "AERO 101".
4K lbs downforce @ 120 mph. It's also capable of 5G's of braking force. Powered by a Honda IRL pneumatic valvetrane motor.

Ford GT with one of everything, except turbos. It has two.

This boat was epic win.

Traxxas came to the show with some RC Trophy Truck models.

And then they brought a real RC Trophy Truck. It does have a driver's seat, but it's fully remote controlled.

600hp V8 chopper

Tons of Challengers at the show. Tons of twin turbo setups as well. This car is both.

This LMP car was on display by Japan

I posted pics of the twin turbo gallardo the other day

Someone drove this busted-*** 100K mile miata to the show for Dynapack Dynos and DIY Autotune, to be displayed in the same building as these other trailered in super customs and exotics.

She liked it

That first car is the best one. You are supposed to save the best for last, not first. All of the **** there looked awesome though. Good pictures.

Here is a link to my entire photo album. There's still plenty of cool stuff to see.

Thanks bro. It's the Performance Racing Industry trade show held in Orlando. It's a lot like SEMA, but only for companies that make cars go fast(er). People were there from all over the world, as both vendors and spectators. Tons and tons of dope stuff to look at. Watching the 5-axis milling machines and rapid prototyping machines work was also dang neat. I walked away with a few souvenirs that were cool as well, such as a little piston and rod key chain from Wiseco.

I felt both honored and humbled to have my cracker jack there. It was neat to see people actually taking pictures of my car. Odd when there's all sorts of ridiculous custom super-exotics all around. It's seriously one of these things is not like the other. Plus we drove down through terrible weather, ran the car through a quick auto wash, and pulled it into the building. I doubt anything else there made it to the convention center under its own power. There was one point when a few Japanese men with Mazda badges actually walked around the car speaking Japanese to each other and pointing at stuff. And as I walked around taking pictures, some of the other vendors recognized me and asked questions about the car.

I also met Mr. Forge (from Forge Motorsports), Emilio, PAT!, and coastertrav for the first time (though I didn't know it at the time, I saw him in his car later), and ran in to Miatamania (Adam) and Tom Heath from GRM again.

Awesome show, is this a yearly show? Same time every year?

Good to see you out there Ben and get to meet Matt from DIY. I got to meet a ton of people involved with the GT-R as sponsors and engineers...that in itself was worth the trip. Your car looked awesome on the dynapack setup man.

You totally needed to show both engines in that boat though...that thing was sick.

The best way I can explain PRI is its like SEMA with less chrome wheels. Lots of the big names in the automotive industry walking around. I didn't know Emilio was out there, I would have loved to talked to him some.

Thanks. If you click on the album link, you can see both engines. The boat was one of the coolest things there, but also the hardest to photograph. In general it was hard to take photos of at all because the place wasn't bright enough. A camera stand of some sort would have helped.

It was WAY to dark...most of the pictures I took with my camera on the phone wouldn't come out at all.

Still. Hell of a show, had a blast.

Hey Ben, I thought I saw your car there. One of the SAE guys was drooling over the 6ULs, and now wants some sooo bad for his Mini.

I have to say, one of the things I was most impressed with was the Ford Fiesta, and the VW Scirocco. Both of those cars are AMAZING, in both build, looks, and value. Too bad we are only going to get a watered down version of one of them over here in the states.

I also got to sit in a bunch of racecars, which is also awesome.

I recognized your car when we were leaving. I sooo wanted to pull on you, but my car was still stone cold and I had no idea where I was going.

Too bad the camera shops all either wanted more for a tripod than Ben's engine management cost, or turned on their neon Open signs for no apparent reason other than possibly sadism.

Who? Me?

That is miraculous as the Miata has no motor in it right now. I was rocking the Boostang, which, I'm sorry, you would not have pulled on all 380hp and 440tq of v6 fury.

Weird. Must have been a different dark green NB1 with gold sportmax wheels.

So what's the mt.net discount price on a dynapack? Meg says she wants one.

And I love the 6? bar hatch linkage on that boat. Pretty sick! I wonder why they took off the props
