10AE vs Police Interceptor
I had the unique opportunity to run a Crown Vic Police Interceptor in my stock '99 10th Anniversary Miata. Thought you guys might enjoy the video. If you're ever thinking about running from the cops it probably wouldn't be a good idea to get in a high speed chase, try to stick to the twisties.
YouTube - miatavsinterceptor.wmv
The miata pulled down low, evened up around 50 or so, and then the interceptor started making up ground. This run was from 0-115ish. The interceptor really started walking when I (miata) shifted to 5th at 96. A 0-100 run would be almost dead even.

This was an entertaining video.
Not as entertaining, though, as my spanking an early 90's state police camaro at the local 1/8th mile dragstrip in my subaru wagon.
Dude who owned it was a friend of a friend; he was pissed. Wouldn't even talk to me afterwards.
Apparently he didn't know what to expect from a WRX. :-D

I don't even know what you're talking about, a Miata is a finely tuned, high performance machine. Just listen to the video, freakin chirping 2nd yo, that's what I'm talking about. Them 375 treadwear, 195's didn't stand a chance. If I coulda gotten traction I'm sure it woulda been even quicker...
