How in the hell? Damn...

I like the song, too. Reminds me of my college days.

YouTube - Inspired Bicycles - Danny MacAskill April 2009

There's a higher-res version.

It it an awesome video, though more amazing I think is how far its gone. For a video that was posted on a small trials-biking forum, with a couple of thousand members, it went huge in the UK. Its had almost 10m views on youtube, was featured on national news in the UK back in april, and has apparently made it across the globe now!

The bikes are trials bikes. The original founding concept being riding from A to B without putting your feet down, although the sport has long evolved from just riding over a few tree stumps and through streams, its still basically about getting you and your bike up and over the biggest obstacles and across the largest gaps, without putting your feet down.

There's a bigger following in the UK and europe than there is in the US, but I believe there are still national championships and a good scene in certain cities.

What the **** is that bike made out of that it doesn't fold up into a pretzel on some of those jumps? The landings looked a little harsh!

And we thought we were cool/daredevils in the 70's when we setup 2 foot ramps made out of plywood.

Trials biking reminds me a lot of free running and parkour. Unbelievable talent and commitment, dangerous as hell and primarily European.

Those bikes are made of the same ridiculum as the nuts, bolts and studs that will keep our turbo systems together without leaking.

Dude is awesome, but his body must be battered. He's gonna hate life when he's older.

Yeh the bikes are mostly made of high grade aluminium. Most parts are lucky to last 18months before they fail.

Trails has bee nabout since the late 70s, free running is more an offshoot from trials vs inline blading.

Body wise trials is tough, but not as bad as you'd think. Certainly no tougher than BMX/skating.

Search his name, or just for bike trials, on youtube to find many more clips.

I bet he's better off than he would have been had he just sat on his couch his whole life.

that was awesome! that's one of the best trials type video's i've seen. i love mtn. biking. there's some serious vids on that too over the last few years. they're doing freestyle moto-x tricks and jumps! good find.

very impressive

I still can't understand how they get the bike off the ground, i.e. the bunny hop. I can't get my stupid BMX bike to "hop" 2 inches off the ground. I imagine it's a lot of technique but I fail hard at it.
