Default Greetings from Indy

Hello everybody my name is Christian I am a Panamanian living in the US, Indianapolis to be exact. I own a 99 NB Miata .

I have visited forums to get some answers and to learn a little more about my car in several occasions but wasn’t until now that I have decided to join, the reason? I am going turbo and I truly think forums are of great use for people like me, specially this one.

Since I got the car I have had a goal in mind; make it as much fun, keep it functional nice and comfortable as possible in other words I wanted it to look good, to handle even better and to be nice both in and outside the track.

I have changed a lot of stuff in the car mainly suspension components and it has been plenty of fun to drive but in some situations it felt under powered. At the track the car was more than able to keep up with faster cars but on the long straights it was pretty much defenseless so I decided to take a big step; turbocharging.

My car on its current state

This is what I have got so far for my new setup.

-Borg Warner 6258 EFR Turbo (EWG)
-Megasquirt PNP
-Fab9 manifold
-Fab9 Downpipe
-Turbosmart compgate 40mm wastegate
-Flyin Miata stage 1 clutch
-Deatschwerks 700cc injectors
-Mishimoto Fan shroud
-ATI harmonic damper
-Gauges (boost, oil temp)

-Advanti storm s1 15x9 wheels
-225/45R15 Nitto NT01

There is some stuff left to buy (intercooler, piping, head stuts, spark plugs, turbo water and oil lines). The plan is to get all the parts by the end of the year that means I will be selling a lot of stuff soon.

I am hoping to get 270+whp out of this setup, later on I am planning on adding water injection to it. I am going to work on the setup this winter and I will also improve other areas of the car (body, interior). For next year the car should be faster, nicer and even more fun! but at the same time it should be nicer to drive. Hopefully I will manage to accomplish just that.

I am open to any kind of suggestions/questions I am here to learn and share!

Happy to be joining the community, greetings from Indy!
