Hello
i am happy to have found a turbo miata specific site.
i'm in south east FL and in the process of putting together my 96 black miata.
2 weeks or so we should have her done, 2.0L with all the forged goodies studded, 99 head ported/polished with high revving valvetrain, Billet oil pump gears, modified Edelbrock intake mani, modified OBX exhaust mani, Tial BOV/WG, modified EBay Intercooler, custom cold/hot side piping, Koyo alum radiator, two electric fans, Electromotive Tec3R, 6 spd. MS trans, 363 gears from Australia, Wilwood big brake kit fr/rear, Tanabe Gold coilovers, custom 3 inch stainless exhaust from turbo back.
I am keeping the power steering, a/c and heat. The car has power windows, locks and antenna, a CD player and both an AEM wideband and AEM boost gauge mounted in the dash where the center vents once were.
Pictures will follow once she's complete.

about myself,
i do construction, not lately though...
a car nut like the rest of you, my most recent toys, an srt-4 with 344 whp off the bottle, and 420 whp on, (Mopar stage 3 with an 80 shot), which i have sold off and now it is competing and winning many of the competitions, the 2007 One Lap of America where it came in 1st in class, 5th overall, among others.
this is a car that competed as i sold it, minus a gutted interior and stiffer spring rates.
a car that went consistent low 12's at 118 traps off the bottle and low 12's at 126mph on the bottle, while rolling on 18" wheels with toyo t1 tires. 2.1 60 ft being the norm...so yes, a decent road driven Skittle.
My wife's ride...96 Mini S 205 whp
i also have an 07 Mazdaspeed3 with 284 whp overseas which i am bringing back soon...
Oh, and my 08 STI with 2000 miles that i'd like to sell, if you know someone (also overseas on its way stateside)...
I'm also a bike nut...
my Hoes...(kidding)

Nice first post robino.
I'm also impressed that you put your location below your Avatar!
Great pics, great cars, great bikes, great "hoes"
Welcome aboard.
Where were you located before? I ask because you mention bringing cars back to the States and I live overseas. Maybe there's someone on this board living where you were who can help you out in selling your cars.
BTW, the list of mods you mention is not only extensive but impressive!
Since I'm in the process of rebuilding my own engine (I also have a 96 fwiw), I'd like to know where you bought your engine parts.
Rafa

man, you guys ask a lot of questions...
the turbo is a Garrett 3071r
pictures of the motor, etc will come later when it's all done, give me a week or two.
the motor was purchased from racingmazda, about 2-3 yrs ago, XBlock 2.0L i think they called it, forged internals, bored with a longer rods.
i got the billet oil pump gears for it, i'm gonna also get the ATI damper just to be sure the high revvs don't mess it up.
99 head/cams, here's pics of the Edelbrock Victor Jr...
gonna rev about 1000-1500 rpms higher than stock, we'll see when we tune it where we end up. Car is being wired right now, everything is in it pretty much, just fartin around with little things to finish it before we fire it up and throw it on the dyno.
the 3071 i'm hoping will be just right for the 2.0L, with the extended rev range it should have a broad enough power band.
I'm originally from Connecticut, moved to FL some 6-7 yrs ago.
I go back and forth to eastern Europe where i was building some stuff, but the economy turned to **** there so...i'm back
the Mazdaspeed3 is basically stock, except for the MS cold air intake, cat delete (still have one on there) and a short shifter and Mazdaspeed lowering springs/camber arms.
The STI i bought new, sent it there last may, as well as the Mazdaspeed3...the STi is coming mid month, the MS3 later in march/april
Keeping the MS3 for the wife, she wants a bigger car, the STi i have no use for, even though i had some fun driving that car in the mountains overthere...so i'd like to sell it, if not, i'll leave it at my CT residence...it's overkill for Florida(no need for AWD)
the bikes are what i had, i had many many others, don't have time to list them all, the Honda is a Rune...2000 built in 2004-2005, mine is a 05 model, one of one thousand.
the bitches were some Romanian hoes...at some car show i attended with the bike and ended up in a Tuner magazine a month later....with this pic:
the OBX...lol, i know...but i reinforced it, welded some stainless bars from the flange to the turbo flange, hopefully it'll hold up for a while, i've seen an OBX on my friends Supra last him 5 yrs. with no cracks/problems...and $130 is cheap enough to give it a try.
course, i modified it for the waste gate/etc...we'll see if it holds up.
My power goals are 400 whp on pump gas, i'm probably not going the water/meth injection route, even though i know i can pick up quite a few ponies there...i just want a street car, as i do with all my cars. I want it to look like a street car, behave like a street car and drive, like a street car.
It will have a/c, heat...and it will be driven daily, or almost if we acomplish what we are trying to do.
I'll be going to the local Moroso drag races weekly, Wed./Fri...whenever i can with it...not sure what they will require at the track for a convertible, i think arm harness or something weird like that.
I'm guessing with 400whp mid 11's should be doable...trap speeds in the low 130's on the 225/45/15 RS2's i have ordered which will go on my new 15x9 set of 949 6UL racing wheels
any other questions?

What psi of boost do you plan to run?
With regards to your comments about drag racing the car; may I suggest you look for threads started by ApexOnYou. He's done 11.99 on stock internals. That's your reference

i really don't know how much we're going to be boosting, we'll see when we tune...i have the Wahlbro pump, 750 injectors, Vishnu fuel rail, we're good on fuel delivery.
65mm Mustang TB pushing air through that Edelbrock intake should work well, the head is ported/polished and the 99 heads i been reading seem to flow a bit better than the pre-99 heads, same with the 99 cams, i have adj. cam gears and we'll dial those in proper, with the increased rpm range, on 93 octane whatever is safe is what we'll go with.
The only good thing about the Electromotive is that it's very tuneable...not just that, but the Megasquirt didn't have a Miata specific computer back 3 yrs ago and this has been draggin for 3 yrs now, this project, with me going back and forth not having the time to put in to finish it.
Whatever boost it is, it will be enough i'm sure. I'll have a race map for 116 and see how far we can get. If more power is needed i have options, meth injection, nitrous, etc...but i highly doubt 400wheel ponies won't be enough to put a smile on my face. A 2000 lb. Miata with 400whp has better power to weight ratio than a new ZR1 vette...so it'll have to do. That's if i don't grenade the rear or tranny, lol.
in regards to draggin' it...we'll see. I don't necessarily need 1.5 60 foots, nor do i expect them...again, the car won't ever get slicks put on in order to get a few tenths more, i like to know what my car does in street form, as is. I've never put slicks or even drag radials on any of my cars to better my times, i think it's more fun to know your car and its capabilities with what's on it at any given time...street tires, full interior, etc.
