Default Intro....

Hi,

I bought a base Miata back in 1997 in Monterey, CA. I've had the please of driving it all across America and Europe for the past 12 years. Been surfing the Miata net/forum on and off since 1998. Found Miataturbo.net just recently. Done some mild mods – suspension, roll bar, etc. Now I’m going FI. Currently researching…I’ve scanned back to the 2 year-ago point. Still reading…lots of good info.

Thanks for the opportunity.
Bob

welcome aboard Bob.

You're best bet is to start with the FAQ.

Also, helps us help you by putting your location in your profile and putting your car mods in your signature. That helps us know what you have when you get to the point where questions are warranted.

Word of warning: This is usually a fairly hostile board to newbs. There's a bit of a hazing process to get past.

Pics of your car help somewhat.

Again, welcome aboard.

Trent,
Thanks for the tips. I added some profile info. Didn’t see where to add signature info. Not worried about hazing. Added a picture in the picture section.
Thanks
Bob

Y8s,
Mountain view? Cool. I also lived in San Ramon for a while. Sweet place to own a Miata.

Saml01,
Yes, we took the Miata to Europe. It was a sweet ride. At 200 kph, all I could hear was the roll bar.

Kotomile,
I’m jealous you’re in Monterey. Great place to live. My son & I spent most weekends at Laguna Seca. We’d take the CR250 to the MX track, but end up spending the entire day in the paddock. I could go for some clam chowder in a bread bowl at the Fish Hopper about now.

Bob, I take it you drove it in Germany. At those speeds you'd get really expensive fines in other European countries

Welcome aboard. FWIW, I also own a 96 but of course, I bought mine used. Love this little car.
