Miata noob from Utah
Hey everyone, name's Ed. College student, needed an inexpensive, efficient caramel I refuse to drive something boring, so I picked up a 1997 Miata LE in black.96k miles, and in pretty decent shape. Right now I'm researching a turbo setup for my miata. Frankly, I have no idea when I will be able to pull it off--probably not for a while--but we will see how it goes.
I'm new to miatas, but not new to cars or forums, and especially not new to turbo however, this will be the first time I turbocharge a non-turbo car. I've owned Merkur xr4ti (put big turbo and custom IC setup), Saab 900 turbo, and my last car was a PT Cruiser turbo that would eat Mustang v8s.
I've got one of the Merkur turbo sitting in the garage, also have a little t3 garret from a turbododge and a little mitsu from a different turbododge... probably will rebuild the merkur turbo and run that due to the standard bolt pattern on the turbo.
ANYWAY... I apologize for typos, I will probably making most of my posts from cell phone and the autocorrect has a demon inside it
Love it here so far!
