Never ending project
Just a intro. I have 91 miata that I have swaped a vr6 turbocharged into. 8.8 rear partially complete waiting on FFR axles. Long way to go yet I work out of town 6-8 months a year don't get to work on it much just collect part lately.
I am working now I have a couple pics of engine and rear end on I phone if someone knows a way to attach let me know.
Here is a list of items purchased lately for it.
AWR widebody
corrado front rotors
sport rear rotors
FD calipers front
haltech e6x
xxr 16x7 & 16x8 wheels

holy ****
You already mated the miata transmission to it I see.
That is weird as hell to see a vr6 engine mated to a rwd transmission.
And TURBO MANIFOLD?
oh this will be good.
those motors are NASTY with boost
Have you considered running a shorty intake manifold like some turbo/supercharged guys? it would make intercooler plumbing a whole lot simpler and better looking.

This is refreshing to say the least.
I'm assuming this takes as much custom fabrication as an LSx swap or is it a bit easier?
I know the engine mounts and wiring on those motors are VERY simple so that's a plus.
How much more will the car weigh with this sucker?

Alot of fab, I have changed motor mount setup twice also built 2 oilpans and modified the craddle twice getting engine lower due to vr6 is a tall engine. As for wiring this will be second time with haltech this time going to attempt electronic boost controled hooked to abs sensor front and rear to drop boost if wheel speed higher rear to front to limit wheel spin when needed I have a efi tuner says he can set up.
