Default n00b w/ hAx!

I have a 92 miata daily driven with about 170k miles.. has good compression +/- 5psi all cylinders, clutch replaced.. and 94 big brake upgrade soon

Thinking about diy turbocharging with about 2 grand or less for starting budget with room to improve the setup later. my horsepower goal around 150 at first. I dont care for the greddy kit much after reading about the manifold, and worried about using a chinkcharger

Need suggestions on which turbo, quality mani and downpipe, not sure whether FMU or MS kit (my soldering sucks), ebay intercooler at some point. want to save money on whatever possible without sacrificing too much or grenading the engine.

Advice is welcome. Im starting on a build list and do lots of homework before jumping into **** like this

get the BEGI-S Miata Turbo System 1989-1993 BEGi

excellent platform and gives you plenty of room to grow. Good quality stuff. Also read https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t4288/ before you post or do anything else. Welcome to the forum!

Default noob post #2

Alright so after spending the summer reading these forums and maximum boost, and enjoying the last days of my car in NA form.. I finally have a Begi shanghai-s on order I plan on running low boost at first with FMU bandaid and then MS later.

Look out for another lame build thread coming soon

94 is not a big brake upgrade, go straight to the sport brakes off the NB if you want stopping power.
