Default NA with some attitude

Hi all, my name is Devon and I've been a lurker since the day I got a Miata. I have a 1990 Miata with the 1.6 in it for now. Have plans of doing the V8 swap with an LS1 my friend has waiting for me, just a question of when I'll be able to get everything else I need to do the swap. I live in FL and love cruising with the top down 10 months out of the year

I'm excited to be a part of this forum and meet some of you guys. I have already posted some pictures of my miata since becoming a member. I just ripped my dash out today and am doing a minor wire tuck inside for now, with more to come. Will post pictures as I make progress with it. I'm going for an airplane look (P-51 specifically) and have installed toggle switches and a push to start inside. Nothing major done to the engine...as I plan on swapping the LS1 in, so I don't see the point right now. I've got the rear fenders pulled about three inches from stock so I can get real low. I also look forward to the new shoes she will be getting after the swap, gonna run with a 17x12 three piece rim with DEEP lips (I know, I know, I'm one of THOSE guys). I am sure I will get flamed for half the things I have done/will be doing to the car...but hey, it's my car and I love what I'm doing. I think this forum is a little more accepting of people doing "ridiculous" things to their Miata than some of the others that I have posted on before.

Message me for whatever, I look forward to meeting all of you on the forums!

Boy oh boy, you have this forum all wrong. Don't worry, the natives haven't noticed you.....yet.

Holy hell, cars like that are what prompt people to start homeowners associations.

Too each their own I guess.

I guess I'll come check ClubRoadster out. Why does nobody accept or for lack of a better word, respect, people building their cars to their own liking?
If you are serious about people liking crazy builds over there I will definitely come over. I'm just tired of being flamed for doing what I want with my car...

Check out clubroadster for sure, lurk the build thread sections and see what's out there.
theres a sticky at the top about some fool name burt_nassty look through that thread and don't be like that, mostly nobody is interested in cookie cutter builds, but if you got that one of a kind come show it there.

here is where the all the adults hang out with only an interest in power and grip.

If you're so pumped on it, why do you need the approval of a bunch of strangers on the internet?

I don't need approval from anybody, but I also don't need to be flamed on every question I ask or post I make. I am already getting flamed just in the two posts I have made so far. I can't even get an answer to a question I asked because the way my car looks and because the RPM range that I choose is not preferable to the next guy. Not every miata is the same and not every Miata's engine has the same "personality".

I apologize if I am coming off like a jerk or ignorant, but I am just looking for the forum that I "belong" and can contribute to most effectively.

I asked why you want some stupid high idle that most people work to get rid of, then I answered your questions. What more do you want? Fix your teeth and your eyeballs, then fix your broken wheels. Sarcasm is real and truth hurts.

This is not a forum full of dubstep, bongs and fat shoe laces. ( I stole that line from someone) We like high quality builds, traction, cash, hot ***** and horsepower. In no particular order.

I don't consider an idle that is 50-100 RPM more than what the manual says "stupid high". My specific car does not like to be at the 850, and when it dips to 700, it really doesn't like it.

Can't be mad that I have more desire to be unique with my build than just a stock miata with a couple performance mods. I don't want a sleeper, it's not me. I respect sleepers by all means, but it's not me. My headlights function just as well as stock, actually they are even brighter than stock because of the bulbs I have in (the eyelids I made in no way hinder my ability to see or be seen). My wheels are absolutely not broken, I don't even know what you mean by this truthfully. Fitment and stance is a lifestyle that I see is not welcome here and I will gladly leave and let the "adults" enjoy their "quality builds"

Don't know what constitutes a "quality build" to you and this forum so I won't even go there. Seems like stock looks with performance mods. Performance and looks can work together.
I guarantee I have more traction than you do with my lower center of gravity, wider rims with 215mm Toyo Proxies all the way around. Proxies are some of the best street tires you can buy in my opinion.
Takes quite a bit of cash to get a car looking the way I have gotten mine and performing. It's not all cosmetic under there. No I haven't done much performance wise besides the stage 2 exedy clutch and lightweight flywheel, but my intentions are to put an LS1 in it anyways (there's your horsepower you so desire to see) which is widely understood as one of the most incredible changes to the car. The power to weight ratio in that setup is incredible.
Who wants a **** anyways? I would just prefer hot women, but to each his own. And trust me they love the teeth, eyeballs, and broken rims.

To each their own. Enjoy your Miata though, good sir.

And you didn't answer my question actually. You told me to do something that I already explained in my original post that I had already done. Thank you though for your reply and attempt to help (in all seriousness thank you)

Nah, it's definitely wide though.
There's guys out here running 16x13 inch rims out here. On youtube there is a guy by the name of Tyler Fialko that has 18x14's on his miata. He's very well known throughout the stance culture. Don't quote me on it but I think he's running a 305mm tire in the rear. His car is absolutely ridiculous, but he's not trying to race it...he's trying to be ridiculous

Sorry, gotta maintain standards.
This forum is for adults, not metrosexual clueless vapetards who think they're "enthusiasts"

One time when I lived in LA, it rained really hard. After the flood water receded, I encountered this nappy ball sack in the gutter. It was all that remained of a huge horse-**** sized *****, but someone fucked it so hard, they broke it. It's kind of a metaphor you see? It used to be functional, and now it's just gross.

Ever felt like a black dude at a clan rally? Seriously, you'll be better off hanging around on Clubroadster.

As you can see... people don't get down with the stance culture around here... I am positive the guys over at Clubroadster will enjoy your build. I guarantee you won't get any positivity from it here.

Tyler Fialko is a name we do not speak of around here... The high performance rubber he wastes is rubber that could have melted on track with functional cars.

That, and he slammed a very nice Corvette, which is a cardinal sin in my book. That poor car will never chew Ferrari's up on track. Instead, it is condemned to a life of scraping on pebbles.
