FTFY

It probably has a crack on the bottom too.

There are a lot of manifolds that will work with the turbo and motor. Finding one that also works with the downpipe will be hard.

If you think that's good, you should see him in real life.

Steve has the nicest rack you'll ever see. Just make sure he keeps his pants on.

Agree with everyone else. Get a wideband UEGO gauge on the car asap and see what's going on there. AEM just came out with a new gauge that they are claiming is the fastest on the market with utilizing the new bosch 4.9. Might be worth checking into.

AEM's new X- series Wideband Gauge

It is a must have for a turbo car. (or any car really)

Massively lube PB Blaster on all those exhaust bolts and let it set in before removing & adjusting.

Can we get more photos of the turbo? I think I see the top port blocked off

How many AN lines are going to the chra of that thing?

I will when I get back home. I'm gonna test fuel pressure, if that doesn't work I will be at the mercy of you guys/gals

If my turbo is bad should I send it out for the 19 upgrade or just rebuild or with a diff turbo. If I went with a diff turbo I don't wanna have to buy a new manifold and do

Your manifold is going to crack. No matter what turbo you put on it.

Don't build a turbo setup around the turbo.
A good manifold is arguably the most important non-electronic piece of the kit.
Do yourself a favor, and buy a complete MKTurbo kit. It's a good budget kit made by our very own Lars.
FM is also a good option, and used kits pop up on here frequently.

Or if you want to be cheap, you get a taco taco 1.6 manifold (if they still sell them) and then hack together a downpipe.

Normally the turbos in the ebay kits are pretty shitty though.

I check fuel pressure and everything is within spec, took apart the turbo hoping to find an issue and found nothing wrong with the turbo. I really though after all that I would know for a fact that turbo was bad. Everything at the moment looks good on it.

After fuel pressure speced out I took the charge pipe off the turbo and hooked up the maf to the throttle body it puts out a little bit of force at wot but not enough for boost, which made me pull the turbo to find nothing wrong....I was hoping to find the waste flapper mia but was there and functional. I check the play with a gauge and everything was well within spec. All the fins look good. I am starting to know what else is even possible at this point.
Fuel and turbo is good atm.

It wont make boost at idle. So you wouldn't be able to tell how much it was putting out.

So many things. Is the wastegate moving. Wire the wastegate shut and see if it makes boost. If it doesn't then either exhaust is getting out somewhere else or your turbo is dead. Are you sure there isn't a big crack on the bottom of the manifold? Thats where mine was cracked.

There isn't only a tiny bit of an exhaust leak but it's where it bolts to the head. What's dead about the turbo if everything checks out
