New MSM owner in FL, lots of pics

So its been over a year since I've updated this thread, I'm bored and I figured I'd update MT.net on my progress on the car so far. I still have yet to upgrade the ECU, but that is finally next on the list once I get my tax return back any day now, going to go with a Rev built MS3. My only reasoning for holding off on the ECU for so long is the fact that my MSM is particular only very rarely exhibits the hesitation and neck snapping 5500 rpm boost spike. That and my friend with a Big Enchilada MSM (hydra) still has yet to take me in a drag race, but he has taken me a few times at autocross.
I'll try to keep this update in chronological order. First up is a custom washer fluid tank built by FrankB!
Dipped it black
Here you can see the stock washer bottle in the engine bay, and a mock up of where the aluminum tank will sit.
And finally installed.

Headlights were looking pretty hazy after ~10 years in Texas and then Florida, so some sanding and polishing was in order. I had them sprayed with automotive clear coat afterwords to protect them from future fading.
You can kind of see how yellow they are in this pic, also a foreshadowing to my future autocross numbers.
After, so much better.

The stock IC wasn't cutting it, so I purchased a 350hp unit from Fab9 that fits wonderfully in the mouth of the beast.
My 225/45r15 BFG Rivals wore out after about 10k miles of very spirited street driving, and I acquired a set of 225/45r15 Hankook RS3 V2's to replace them.
High horsepower sandwich.
I wrapped the radio and shifter surround with some black brushed aluminum vinyl to cover up the awful factory faux carbon fiber look, and also to match my new 320mm MOMO Monte Carlo. Also pictured is my new Miata Roadster short shifter with angled extension, and a factory NC Miata shift ****. Another new mod visible here are my Mitsubishi Eclipse air vents, which I am also in love with.
New keychain from Revlimiter.net
Full turbo-back exhaust came shortly thereafter. I added a 2.5" catless downpipe mated to a 2.5" to 3" Flyin' Miata Mazdaspeed exhaust. Sadly the only picture I have of the exhaust is the one I took of it strapped to my rollbar on the way to get installed.
Found my cars on Google Streetview.
Had the car washed, buffed, and sealed by a friend. She sure is a shiny bitch now.
Cleaned out my garage and played around with some 26" tires left behind by an old roommate. Now the Miata finally has a roof over its head and I can easily maintain the incredible shine brought forth by the paint sealant.
Parked next to a sweet green FiST.
Finally headed to my first autocross with my friend Justin and his Titanium Grey MSM. I had so much fun, and much to my friends dismay, was faster than him by a handful seconds. After competing in Novice class and taking 1st place on my first time out, I was bumped up into BSP early.
My friend still stuck in Novice and me running either BSP or SMST2 depending on which club we were racing with. Also, purchased some magnets to give her a General Lee look.
Remember that paint sealant I mentioned? Look at those beads!
Purchased some hood louvers from Singular Motorsports that I still have yet to install. Need to grow some *****! I will only be using the 2 side louvers, and painting them matte black.
More autocross action.
Purchased some front frame rail braces from Garagestar, and holy cow did these stiffen up the front end! I was very pleasantly surprised with their performance.
Now I've finally caught up to date with the present and my latest mod was a set of Tein Flex coils with 9kg/7kg spring rates. They ride like a dream and handle amazingly. I also just had the car aligned with 949Racing's dual duty street/track alignment settings. Please excuse the dirty car.
Now, my 225/45 RS3's are very near to the end of their lifespan and I very excitedly acquired some 245/40r15 Maxxis Victra RC-1's, which are 100 treadwear DOT approved rubbers. I also painted the letters on them white, which is something I've always wanted to do, but at the same time always told myself I would never do it unless I was painting real racing tires.
