Pseudo noob
Hey guys, fairly new to the forum, been lurking awhile and just now starting my build.
Owned the car 3 years and it was previously supercharged (bought that way) so i made the most of what i was given and did a lot of suspension work to the car.
Picked up Jeff Abbott's old turbo its a T04E china charger. I also have the prototype BEGI 5 bolt down pipe. I bought supra 305's but I'm thinking they won't be enough and I'll probably pick up some 460's instead. I ordered the M-tuned 1.6L shorty manifold setup for an external wastegate. I will probably run the Tial gate and the hks ssqv bov. I bought quickslvr's megasquirt and i have plenty of reading and learning to do.
I have read all the faq's i can find and as i start to develop questions in the planning phase i have been searching around for answers but will inevitably end up asking questions. I know this turbo will be a little slow to spool but it should be OK for my purposes.
I've been around the miata forums a while and you might know me from CR.net but hopefully you guys will get to know me a little bit over here as well.

You did everything right. Punctuation, spelling, capitalization, paragraphs etc.. Good job. Although you should put your location in your profile.
Unfortunately your car looks to be mad tyte jdm. But whatever it's your car. Oh and welcome.

Thanks everyone.
I'm new to turbo's but I've been around awhile. I have a full set of the wheels on the front and unfortunately I run a staggered size so it works out that those stay up front all the time.
As far as the jdm tyte look, thanks I guess. I really like the styling of old school corollas but hate the sloppy dick performance.
Oh yeah, I'm an English teacher so I promise the grammar will stay decent, not perfect.

Went to the 460's for now, have a trade lined up on the injectors. Also bought an LC-1 today and decided I will do the Toyota COP's while I'm setting up MS just to do it while I'm there. When I get home and start working again I'll have the rest of my parts and be ready to start getting this thing together.
Being on the opposite coast while parts arrive at my house is painful, even though I'm on vacation.

Isn't the base of the cowl high-pressure? Which is why the hood raise ought not work because it jams air into the hood space instead of venting it. IIRC the benefit is found in air escaping the sides.
Am I gay that I like the "jdm-tyte" look? I mean, EXCESSIVE camber and big ol' tach's and fart cans are lame, but I think the OP's car looks BANGIN! Mismatched wheels and all.

So not only is it helping to make the car overheat, it also increases lift because you're putting more air under the car.

The stagger isn't that dramatic the offset is a mm or two different but they are the same wheel size pretty much. 14x6 -5 and 14x7 +0 but both have 185/55 usually. The rear tires in this pic are a tiny bit taller.
Hood risers, import tuner did something on them and the test results gave lower IAT and under hood temps. Honestly, I just think it looks cool haha. It honestly doesn't do much either way really.
Also, Nagase, I'm always down to work on cars/shoot the ****, so just hit me up whenever you plan to do anything and I'll help out. Excited to see your car sometime in the future.
