From NJ, noob to Miatas

When I said I moved to AZ to play with some cool cars, I was serious!
This is the nose to the Mirage that Mario & Michael Andretti drove...
I worked for 2 companies out there. 1 was a mod-lite/ dwarf car/ legends/ f1000 car builder (single seat race cars powered by bike motors), the other was Grand Touring Cars. Check the link: http://www.gtc-mirage.com
We had quite a few great cars, some you'll recognize...
Here's a folder with a bunch more pics from the old shop:

I totally forgot to give my yearly update. sorry for being 3 months late. It's like the worlds slowest, most un-interesting build thread.
The 90 looks different now:
In the past year, I shuffled around some roofs, Installed FIA seats/ belts, had complete paint failure, repainted, exhaust, door bars, brakes, prop valve, blah, blah, blah...
I've set the car up for East Coast Miata Challenge Street class. I spent most of the points on my 15x9's and 225/45/15 RS3's. So far so good - I've been able to drive on some of my local 'bucket list' tracks like Watkins Glen and Lime Rock, and I've taken a few trophies home. This weekend we're headed back to NJMP Lightning. Yes, I have a vinyl cutter and love to use it. Does that make me a ricer?
I also bough a daily driver - mostly to get AC and easy ingress/egress.
I already ditched the 0et XXR's and threw on my old 15x8 TRM's. I got the r12 AC system working and put a cat back on it. The frame rails are smashed, so I just grabbed some FM rails to throw on when I repair.
I'm in the process of recovering a pair of old Porsche 914 seats so I can sit a little lower/ more comfy in the car. Those beautiful LE seats should fetch a few $$$ when it's time to sell.
Here's more pics from Watkins:
My suspension is *a little* soft.
Here's some youtube laps from my telephone/ Harry's Lap Timer:
The MR2's exhaust is so loud, it made me forget to shift - I was listening to his motor. We had a good time, though. I followed him around all day Saturday and my lap times went progressively down. On Sunday, I ended up beating him by .1.
I am going to be installing a MS3 in the next month. Brain helped out by making me a nice pnp harness that has a shift light output wire on it. Problem solved... well, once I install, that is.
