Default Playing with MSPNP

Today was the first day in close to a year that I fucked around with the MS. I figured now that I had this EeePC (on it now btw) I would get it to communicate with the MS before I show up at the dyno. I got them to talk no problem, and figured I would try some more stuff.

I figured while I played with everything I would log it just to do it. Honestly I didn't even think it was going to work, seeing as I never did it before. But I just looked at the log in the log viewer and I don't really know what I'm looking at. I plan to read up on it tonight for a little.

I'm not even sure if its worth sharing, seeing that it was just at an idle the entire time. I changed a couple things to try and fix the idle. Then I went and manually lowered the idle with the TB screw (I wasn't sure if there was a way to lower it via MS). Anycase the car just randomly shut off at one point in the log, about 3/4 of the way through. I'm hoping its just that I put the fuel gauge needle back on wrong and I ran out of gas. I will found out tmr when I go get 5 gallons and dump it in.

Anything worth looking at in a log at idle, changing some settings, then having the car die? When the car died I was out playing with the turn signal bulbs, so its not like I was changing any settings when it died. It had been running with me out of the car for at least 5 mins prior.

Trying to upload the file but it keeps failing. Says the limit is 2.91mb, mine is only 2.44mb.

Did you try and start it again after? If not, it might have been a processor reset that killed it.

Your idle settings should be fine with the DIY basemap honestly. You can change your hot and cold idle rpms but everything else should be spot on (or very close).

There wont be a whole lot to see in an idle log except to make sure your AFR is looking good. My car idles best at ~13.6:1, YMMV.

Did you rev it up at all? Did it rev freely or hesitate? At what RPM was it idling after you lowered it via the throttle stop?

I tried starting it a couple times after but it was just cranking, it wouldn't turn over. When I watch the log where the car shutoff it says the word "reset" and it shows egt's going from 120 to 915. I wish I could post it, but it says file attachment failed.

The idle seemed high, but steady for the most part. It would rev freely, not much hesitation, but I didn't go past 4k rpms or so. The rpms where at 1400ish at idle, so I brought them down to about 1000rpms using the TB screw.

If it was a processor reset, did that **** something up? I was pretty much just keeping my fingers crossed it ran out of gas.

turning over = cranking

I thought the processor reset issue was cause by a ground issue.
