Alright guys... unleash the hounds! I posted my tuning software package too-- it simplifies things a bit, but if you use the existing 'projects' intended for the MSPNP on non-MSPNP cars be aware that I've easytherm'ed the MSPNP for use with the stock sensors, the 'projects' includes the modded files for this. You'd need to use our matching firmware to work properly with our tuning software. Our modded firmware is included in each project's folder (under \MegaTune\MM9495 with MAF for example, run downloadfirmware.bat WITH YOUR IGNITOR UNPLUGGED until you load a map with proper ignition settings for your car!)

I hope this helps you DIY guys out... of course you MSPNP guys have it made

Saw this post too late for tonight, but will try to get it running tomorrow on your map modified for my board.

Thanks a bunch.

At a quick glance, your tables look oh so much cleaner then mine.

Well, I'm extremely grateful that you released the maps, I already have them on my car already. My only current problem I have is throttle response right now. It stutters on throttle blips, from idle or any RPM. I realize I need to read the MegaManual closely, but any quick clues as to what to change/look for in the settings?

Acceleration enrichments are either too rich or too lean. Can you post a datalog file?

I don't want to thread hijack anymore, so I'll start a new thread regarding my problem.

You pre-ordered through MiataRoadster.com right?

I won't let you get left out, I'm going to be eating it after selling the unit at a discount to MR.com and then giving a rebate on top of that... FWIW the MM9495 really wasn't supposed to go on sale until the 6th when I listed them with the discount so it would have been a non-issue but we had a little communication mishap . That's on us though-- Shoot me an email.

The discounts do end today at midnight EST...

they'll still be the best deal on the market though...

Oh ok coz when I looked at the "buy now" price it stated $700. Will it reflect the $670 price when I purchase it?

Guys i just installed it last night. Took me more time to get the tools (yes the screwdriver was a bitch to find) than it did to install and get the MS running.

jerry, how do you deal with idle? How do you set it, when do you set it?

We fixed it. The website had a little glitch. It's back to normal now.

thanks for the $50 refund on the MS Jerry even though I ordered last week before I heard of the discount. Now I can put it toward the knocksense.

Did you decide to do some dedicated grounds for it or did you just clean them up?

cleaned up the existing grounds already, now adding 2 additional grounds. I'm getting an odd misfire that appears to be a ground issue. When it's no longer 100F outside, I'm going to go put ring terminals on the two wires we ran, bolt em down, and ride.

I was having a weird missfire around 4k RPM when I left. Pretty sure it's just a ground issue on mine. I'll be cleaning the ground on the block first and installing my PNP harness to see if that fixes it otherwise I'm gonna run a couple wires to supplement it as well. Misfires suck.

The quick setup tells you to use variables to set the timing. When changing these variables does it send the car into "tuning mode" where you get an accurate timing reading? Also, do you simply change the variables in the Megatune to change the timing or must you do it manually?
Lastly, is it okay to run the timing more advanced than 10 or should it stay at 10?
