Please double check my work: MazdaSpeed Miata DIYPNP
Hello everyone. I have searched for info on people using a DIYPNP for a
01-05 Miata, and all I could find was one old thread that was incomplete on
this forum.

) I have a 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata, I don't need VVT control thus the DIYPNP
should work fine for me. I also have a NA alternator that I will swap in cause I don’t want to mess around in the PROTO area.
I have been going over the pinout in the factory wiring manual trying to
fill in the blank spreadsheet that DIYautotune has on their site. Combined
with the old thread I found here I have it mostly done. But I still have a
few questions.
Should my AEM wideband O2 go to ADC2?
Should the crank sensor (3Y) go to OPTO IN Neg or Pos?
Cam sensor (3V) to VR2? Do folks with 99-00 Miatas like to use the cam
sensor or just the crank?
Knock sensor (4M) to ADC1? and do I need something else to make it work?
Where do I put the air conditioning relay? (2K)
Where do people normally run the fan relays? Cooling fan relay 1 (2B)
factory activation 207* And fan relay 2,3 (2C) activates over 226* or with
air conditioning activation.
I also found this in the thread I linked to above:
"Pullups: Found on bottom right side of board these are needed for CKP, Vr2,
and IAC to function.
R3: Install 470 Ohms resistor to 12v
R4: Install 470 Ohms resistor to 5v
R5: Install 1N4001 Diode with banded side to 12v"
Some background info. I installed a MS1 2.2 on my 1.6 back in 2005 or so. I
ran it in parallel with fuel and spark. I did not build the MS1. Now I am
jumping back into the MS world with my MSM. Things have changed allot in the
last decade, and man do I have allot to learn!

I am trying to do this on a budget.
I can do:
1, not be a retard and do something new, since most MSM guys just buy a built Megasquirt. $1200 MSPNP Pro from DIYautotune
2. Beg Brianieak or Rev to build me one for hopefully less
Stage 3. PROFIT! or at least have good directions for other MSM owners

Run it to the O2 input.
Negative.
Unless you've put a missing tooth wheel on there, you'll need both sensors.
Wire it through the knock input circuit.

You can use one of the general purpose inputs.
