what sensors does stock ecu need to control timing?
I am just sort of curious about this as I am just about to start wiring up my MS finally. When you have a project car and you dont need it to get you to work, things seem to take a little longer . I want to set it up for fuel only at first and then timing later to make tuning simpler, but im a bit tempted to just hook up all that I need to run it standalone at first. Also I am having a little difficulty figuring out which wires on the ecu correspond with the wires on the ecu ... specifically the fuel pump and 5volt. I realize I dont necessarially need those for running fuel only but i want to get it set up for standalone operation before i drop the rebuilt motor in and ill need those ones.
Anyway, back to the original question (didnt want to start multiple threads). Which sensors does the stock ecu need to run timing?

ok, got it. Im just gonna go for it cuz i dont care if it takes me a few days to get it going.
one more question, I bought the wideband LC1 setup. This completely replaces the regular O2 correct?
edit: oh yea, and thanks. I didnt think the car needed coolant temp or oxygen sensor to run.
