Default what happens on the stock tach when you rev past 8k?

does it just go limp at the bottom or will it go back around? What mechanical design does it use?

also i'm not running a 4age in the touge. rotary swap. yeah i know bawwww.

It keeps on going around until it hits the starting peg.

Wanna know how I know?
I was at 7000 RPM in 3rd and shifted into 2nd while racing a ******* POS Scion tC.
The tach needle swung all the way around at smacked the 0 rpm peg, blew some black smoke out of the exhaust, but the engine was completely fine... some how

I doubt anyone really has bothered with it, so I might have to just accept this street rice story as truth. I'll just wire up the 13b megasquirt just like i did for the BP to the tach and see what happens.

street rice story?

Ive heard of several other people doing this while autocrossing, it want a 'ricer' move on my part, maybe if you actually shifted youre car fast you would know that there is a possibility of going from 3rd to 2nd. That being said it scared the **** out of me and I havent done it since.

I know with my shitty engine mount I pulled the money shift once. Luckily I clutched in before It went off the scale. But a scion? at least do it because of hot girls.

done it twice during a nasa tt (not the same day) it just keeps going around. and then it tore the fabric of space/time and i emerged from the car 2 days younger than when i got into it. lol......
