This is my first post. I bought an already sorted 2003 Miata with an MS3 tuned for the track by the previous owner. I took it to a Tuner in Cumming, Ga to work on some idle, A/C and daily driver issues. He corrected some of them but either forgot or couldn't fix the following:
As I gradually ease the RPM's toward 5-6K in first gear and then shift to second and semi floor it, the car sputters and stumbles. It doesn't do this easing the RPM's up to 5-6K in second and shifting to 3rd and flooring it. It also does fine when flooring it in first and shifting to second and flooring it. Only a light load above 5K in 1st causes second to go crazy. I have no experience with MSTuner Studio but have the program the Tuner in Cumming used to tune my car. I'm not afraid of using the software and making changes but need to know where to look and what might be the setting to change. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Please post a data log of the issue and a copy of your MSQ.

See if your launch control is turned on. could be a flat foot shift. (mine was on when I installed my ms3)
