Will my MS1 for '96 work on a '97 automatic?
I'm going to be selling my Brain built MS1 from my '96 to a friend with an automatic '97. I will have to help him set it up.
I see wiring in the '96-97 factory diagram for "transmission control module." I also see wires at connector 1R and 1T that go to the automatic transmission. Is there going to be any problem with this ECU running the car because it is an auto? Anything I need to know?
Will it work at all?

Theoretically it should work. I know GeneSplicer ran a MS on an NB auto, so I don't see a reason why it would not work in a NA. I know absolutely nothing about auto's in the miata though.
You finally upgrading to a MS3?

Yeah, I bought a used MS3 Basic. I'll pull the MS1 once I get the car back together and running with the new manifold and downpipe. Selling it and installing it in the '97 automatic will help recoup some of the costs, if it works.
