Whole kit weighs 15.7lbs. I believe it is the lightweight version.

I am assuming you are saying there are different versions? If so, this was purchased in August 2015. (I still have my emails discussing this with Emilio and receipt.)

Yeah something was changed with the discs, and replacing them with current stuff if you need to, requires some additional dollar-y-doos.

This is what is on the SuperMiata site:
"What to order?

Pre 2015 .137" thick floater : Order Discs + Update Kit

2015 and later .177" thick floater does not require the Update Kit: Order discs only

The "floater" is the plate between the two friction discs
Update Kit consists of one floater plate and one pressure ring."

The kit I am selling says the build date is 2015-07-22. You can see it on the picture with the barcode. It is still sealed in plastic so there is no way I can get a measurement but according to the SuperMiata info, it should be the updated version.

If it's a ceramic disc kit, and new, the concern over replacement parts is kinda moot. Ceramic discs basically don't wear out like, ever. Only way you kill them is heavily soaking them in oil if a rear main seal lets go. If only lightly oiled, you can just slip it to overheat it and cook the oil off. Really hard to kill IOW.

The Kevlar/hybrid discs OTOH, can wear out if you autocross it a lot. Race orf HPDE, those last forever too. Then replacement costs might be factored in a few years down the road on for the Kevlar/ hybrid disc in auto-x.
