I didn't order 17 Miata kits
These S4's with turbo upgrades are just eating em up though. 4 sold so far. I did have some awesome participation from here.....more than anywhere else.
Its not over......you still have time to jump in
I make a whole $4 on the basic kits after paypal fee's

A few questions:
I started a DIY WI setup a couple of years ago on my SC (you can see a writeup of it on my website) but I never really completed it 100% (tuning, etc). I would like to purchase one of the pumps and some of the hose/fittings but I need some info.
I see the pump has a built in checkvalve. Does this mean there is no need for anything to prevent a siphon? If this is so, why does the kit include an external checkvalve?
How much does the pump weigh? (yes, I have to ask)
How much hose is included with the kit? I'd like to mount everything in my trunk for weight distribution.
Do you have a problem placing an order for a pump, hose, fittings, and maybe some other odds and ends?

I am waiting on an answer about the pump weight for you but I would guess under 5 lbs. The check valve in the pump is a low pressure unit to prevent drainage if the pump is mounted lower than its supplying reservoir. It would not stop 20" of vacuum from pullling it open. Thats what the second check valve is for. I can put together as many pieces and get as much hose as needed at a discounted price for you. What all do you have so far?
